How to stabilize speakers without spikes.
Thanks folks for all your considerations. At least I now have options and options are always good! After years of playing (and buying) I felt that I had finally reached that place where I was pretty happy with the sound. And now this! The one plus...
How to stabilize speakers without spikes.
Thanks RW. Concerning the hard, reflective surface, that has been my argument all along. Now that I've lost, I'm already composing my second question about that once the new floor is in.Tom

Billboard's awards .....yikes
The problem really seems to be what gets played on the radio. Many, many people get turned on (or off) by what they hear on their car radios. There is MUCH good music out there. Problem is most people aren't hearing it. Try XM or Sirius radio and ...

I had a Rotel RB991 amp that kept blowing fuses. Finally the whole left channel went. Then I had a Rotel CD player RCD971 that started skipping just after the warranty expired.
PS Audio HCA 2 & Vandy 2ce Sigs
Csericks - I use an HCA2 with Vandersteen 2CIs. When I first bought the PS Audio I thought it was cold. I've since added a C-J tubed preamp and have been in heaven. Hope this helps a little!Tom

What music would you like at your funeral?
I'm not sure about MY funeral, but for my mom's last year I played "Grace" by U2 from the All That You Can't Leave Behind CD. She truly was GRACE!Tom
Comments on Thiel CS2.2 speakers
Thanks guys for your responses. Think I'll just sit tight for the time being and maybe look for an updated pre-amp - maybe tubes to warm up the sound of the HCA-2. Most of you guys know how it goes. You haven't bought anything for a year or two an...
Any vets among the Audiophiles here?
I'm a 1960s vet who served in VN in '69. Started the tour near Pleiku and then moved south to a firebase near the South China Sea. Bought my second system over there that included an Akai reel to reel, a Pioneer receiver and speakers. Man, I thoug...
