Granite Slabs Where would you normally buy granite slabs? I'm thinking about raising my speakers a couple of inches and at the same time giving them a firm foundation. I will probably need two slabs 14 x 13 x 2". What places would be willing to cut them like th...
I am looking for a smoothest sounding outboard DAC Kora Hermes tube dac. Dynamic, liquid, rich and very, very smooth. I owned Bel Canto Dac 2 before and the Hermes walked all over it. The best dac south of $4K I've ever heard.
Good DAC to go with a Pioneer PD-65 as a transport Bel Canto DAC 1. Excellent unit. Smooth, rich and nicely detailed. You can't go wrong with it.
Pass Labs 350, Bryston 14ST, Classe 350M If I were you I would seriously consider McIntosh MC-352. I used to scoff at Mcintosh gear until I heard this amp for the first time. It's very dynamic with excellent extension control and "slam" in the bass, richly textured mids and excellent res...
Speaker recommendations for 2,500 or less? For a litle over $2500 you could have a used Sonus Faber Electa Amator II. Absolutely the best small speaker I've ever heard. Amazing and dynamic bass from such a small enclosure, harmonically rich with goergous midrange and smooth and nicely reso...
"Warm" CD player...on a budget. California Audio DX-2: warm, passionate with rich midrange and very smooth treble. Can be found used for about $300 - 35O. Definately worth the money.

monitor w/ bass? If you're looking for a deep, tight and dynamic bass from a small package, you definately consider Platinum Audio Solos. They are hard to find used, but you would be surprised at their full range sound. The bottom end is simply amazing and overall... |
