Curiousjim:I have thought about doing dual SB1000 Pros.  I would order a pair of each and see which ones we like best.  But that seems a bit exploitive of SVS’s return policy so I hesitate.

The treble is a bit harsh /fatiguing .i am auditioning a pair of ELAC UB5’s right now and they seem to offer more detail and clarity.The ELAC may a bit unforgiving on placement and they do need a bit of power. But they are at least a step in the r...

Treatments are a different budget.  No issues with placement.Either bookshelf or floor speakers are fine.
