Modern day female jazz recommendations
I'll gladly nominate two vocalists that should be put on any list: Flora Purim and Joan Armatrading. Purim's effortless improvisations on Chick Corea's "Return to Forever" are inspired and deft. Armatrading, likewise, excels with vocals that are s...
Popular Female Singers in the past 2 decades
Special kudos ought to be sent out to Ronstadt who, more than anyone else on this list, has successfully taken on the challenges of the various genres. Whether it's country, torch, Mexican, classical, rock, or whatnot, Ronstadt has tried and naile...

You might be an audiophile if...
You find yourself buying the same album/composition (especially if it's on CD) over and over again, because there's something not quite right....
In pursuit of the golden ear.
Listen. Really, really, just listen.
First song to "Blow You Away"...
"Comfortably Numb."
Help Me Expand My Music Taste
Give "Kind of Blue" a listen. Miles Davis and the gang are just sweet, sweet, sweet!
