Found the bass culprit in my monitor speakers...
It is possible to overstuff speakers Yes I think it is...I hardly believed how much acoustic wool I took out from such a small speaker. I know at least one very experienced professional speaker builder (Lee Taylor) who thinks all stuffing is bad ...

Thanks Mike. Good to know it from the profi side. All in all, this has improved muchly the sound for me. Interesting. Maybe the midbass was the issue and the trade off is about improving it.

Ahhh ok. So it looks like the banana jack contact problem indeed. Right, there are some better locking bananas out there. Super , thank you and the others for your answers. Will do mijostyn and take a look at better connections...with maybe better...

Ok but to add now to your answer:The speaker cable has really good and firm terminations with gold plated banana jacks. The posts on the speakers are very good installed ( Leema Acoustics monitor speakers ) no loose parts either in speakers or wit...

@millercarbon - how long ? Quite long, definitely almost a year (I think since I got them - at start made them tight) @erik_squires - my amp was on I think - no difference to it and not relevant. It has circuit protection board.

Exactly - the most important fact is that it works. No, the posts are not loose still tightened but I guess 30% - 40% less on each post that they used to be ( but of course they were never overtightened ) . Interesting.
