Krell and Utopia spkrs. Connections?

Hi. I heard this set-up with the new MIT Oracle line, an 8' pair. Absolutely stunning. Interconnects were also MIT; not sure which ones. Good luck.

my first jm labs listen was to the grande utopias powered by krell's monster 600 watt amps and krell's kps 25 cd player. wired with transparent reference. sounded great. i've since heard the utopias and mezzo's powered by both krell and cj gear, also wired through transparent reference and a combo of transparent reference speaker cable and transparent super and ultra interconnects. sounded pretty good. fast--i think the transparent is quite capable of conveying the detail that krell is famous for revealing.

I have a smaller Krell amp, and have tried the latest Transparent Reference. I liked the less expensive MIT cables much better. The Transparent had no bass, and was very unnatural and bright in my fully treated dedicated room. This was also true of a completely different system I heard, using all Transparent Ultra. I like MIT's philosophy of not using series resistors in their termination networks, and since they pioneered the real innovation in netwrok cabling, they are the authority in that area. I've not heard the Utopia speakers, but I don't see how they would be tolerant of bright cables based on the reviews I've seen, unless the listener has lost significant hearing sensitivity in the top two octaves.
