Can Anyone Recommend a Repair Shop in NJ to Fix a Pioneer Elite Blu Ray Player?

My good audiophile friend has a Pioneer Elite Blu Ray player, model BDP-85FD. The power button lights up but nothing else works on the player - display is blank and no other buttons on the player or remote cause the unit to operate.

Can anyone recommend a person or shop in New Jersey or neighboring NY, PA, etc. states that can possibly fix this player?

Thank you for whatever help and / or insight anyone can provide.

Good Morning Jafant,

Thanks for the follow up, I'll email my friend with the player to keep him in the loop.

I'm actually in the thick of clearing my house to sell it as part of my divorce. We've been boxing, discarding and making donation piles for what seems like forever. Once the clearing is completed, the painters will come.

Once this is done, I hope to return to a routine schedule.

Will let you know how the repair goes.

Most sincerely

Thank You for the follow up. I am excited to read about the repair process and Operation involved.

Happy Listening!

jafant - unfortunately this seems to be a low priority to my friend. He's gotten new speakers and an all in one streamer / integrated amplifier that he's very pleased with. His system sounds great!

I believe he'll eventually return to spinning disks, if you periodically reach out to me - I'll let you know the status and outcome of the repair.

Kindest regards, TJF

Thank you for the follow up. Yes, keep me posted as that is a great Player in many ways. Shameful to allow it non-operational.

Happy Listening!

jafant - after checking with my friend, he purchased a well reviewed Chinese transport rather then getting the Pioneer player repaired.

I still would like to visit the facility to check out their stuff. There seems to be some good things happening there that I'd like to see and hear for myself!

If / when that happens, I will let you know.

Best regards, TJF
