Best bargain find ever ?

I've just missed out on sooo many I'm curious what others have snagged. I've found some really good deals but have yet to hit the proverbial jackpot. I once got a Kenwood KD-650 TT w/granite base/ SME 3009 III/Shure V15MR MKV in immaculate condition with owner's manuals for $200.00. I also snagged a Parasound PH/P 850 Pre-Amp for $125.00 (when they were going for $450.00 new) I also once got a complete Adcom set-up GFA 545 II amp, GTP-450 Pre, GCD 600 CD Player with a pair of Paradigm Titan speakers for $400.00. How about you ?

I just want to said THANK YOU to all member here who have
in the past give to thrift store or sale their gear under the price market. The audiophile hobby could be very expensive...

But with little patience and thrift store search you can
build a very good system. For $137 total i have a Technics SU-V60,Technics ST-7300 a Sony DVP-7700 a pair of Angstrom
ref floor and a pair of Acoustic Research AR3... Who has
bring a LOT of JOY to my music experience. Now that i get
here a Meridian 565 i just need a good power amp and a DIG
coax cable and i'm on my way to get a wonderfull system...

As i know that the Technics is not the best to load A&R
AR3 speaker. I do what i said and give to other as an action
of love to a some where infair world...
VPI Scoutmaster w Lyra Heligon installed $1200 cash on eBay.
For $800 more I also purchased her Audio Research PH5 phono preamp.
I'm sure her recently deceased uncle was turning over in his grave.
I just bought a Tandberg TR2075 receiver on eBay for $240 cash pick-up.
It's in beautiful condition, all the lights work, knobs are static free and the rosewood cabinet is in great shape. This is a classic and for this price I couldn't pass it up.
I picked up a Pro-Ject Perspective on Craig's List for $475. Sold it for a hefty profit.
Dynavector 10XGold L for $250.00 (Only 50 allocated to US).

StraightWire Maestro speaker cables for $200.00 (6' pair w/spades).

Most recently, GoldenEar Triton 7's for $900.00. You will be hard-pressed to find a better pair of speaker for under $2,000.00.
My post back in July 2002 kicked off this thread, and I'm back some 12 years later with my best A-gon bargain yet! Last week I bought a Lyra Skala cartridge with VERY low mileage for $999 (retail is $3995). This completes the upgrade of the entire analog front end of my system, and I'm looking forward to many pleasurable listening hours.
