Trying to convert my streaming service from Spotify to Qobuz.

Having difficulty converting from Spotify to Qobuz.. Have downloaded Qobuz app and music will play from my phone but can't get it to play thru the PlayFi network on the Anthem amp..  When I started this downloading the Qobuz app, it required that I have itunes on my phone as well, is that the key to this process?  Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

iTunes has nothing to do with the Qobuz app, very strange. Did you use the Play Fi app to find Qobuz as a streaming service?

Went from Spotify to Qobuz years ago, no issues. No needy no bogus iTunes.

Have a look at John Darko’s video on the Audiolab amp with built in PlayFi, he had issues but it seemed the app sends the signal through the device and then to the amp. They’ve had an update which gives you a setting to select that will play the song through the app rather than the device. I have no experience with PlayFi, but the feedback seems to be poor so you may want to consider and external streamer; this is just one of the reasons they’re worth the expense.

It appears that the answer to my problem is to add an external connection device, i.e. Sonos Connect. I'm going to purchasse a used Series 1 and I'll let you know if it's indeed "music to my ears".

How old are your end points? I have some old Yamaha wI fi speakers that they will not update to Qobuz in the m-connect app. All their new speakers will support Qobuz but not the ones I have. It is frustrating as all it is is a software update but they are more interested in selling new speakers.
