Just want to add that this laptop has fingerprint authentication, which brings it up faster.
Question for those of you laptop users...
I stream digital music from my laptop with a USB connection to a DAC Integrated amplifier and out to bookshelf speakers. It's not the most audiofile solution, but the music sounds really good to my ears. I currently use a Dell Inspiron 3583 Windows laptop for my streaming (YouTube Music subscription). It's a solid-state (flash) drive and I really like how fast it boots (under 10 seconds) and how reliable it is. I'm only using it for music streaming, so there's not a lot of other software on it that could slow it down.
I'm curious, for those of you that stream your music from a laptop, which one do you like using the best?

Coincidentally, last night, first time laptop in music system I have an HP Laptop with B&O audio integrated. https://www.hp.com/us-en/laptops/2-in-1s/pavilion-x360s-convertible-laptop.html It sounded great last night, so I just searched and found this https://corporate.bang-olufsen.com/en/partners/consumer-eletronics/hp wireless; YouTube stream (free), out headphone jack, adapter to rca to tube amp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgBTG_HOvMQ&t=2672s I imagine like the old days, the headphone jack will get problematic when it's spring tension gets loose. |
