Arcam Integrated Amps

What are your thoughts / experiences with Arcam amps in general? And which models do you recommend for sound quality and build quality / reliability? There are lots of inexpensive used Arcam integrated amps on Ebay. I've been wanting to try one for a while as a back up amp (my main one runs rather warm) but the selection's overwhelming.

yeah i too got burned with an arcam avr receiver... well known power supply problem... 60 pound paperweight... money down the toilet :(

Consider another brand. Arcam makes a decent cd/dvd spinner only.

I wanted to try a new amp. I bought the arcam A85 with b&w 601’s. I’m not impressed. I bought a denon upa f-10 for half the price and it sounds way better. But, it DOES depend on what music you listen to and the source. Arcam is transparent in my opinion. Some may like that, I don’t. I will probably end up selling the arcam. Just not for me.
