Neotech NEI 3001 III

So, I am going to make an attempt to build an interconnect cable. I am going to use Neotech's  NEI-3001 III cable. After reading the write up on HFC's website for this cable I interpret their info to direct me to connect the the copper sheathing & blue ground  to the RCA plug at the source end of the cable and not the preamp end; in my set up that is a DAC running to the preamp. I assume the arrows on the cable still point towards the preamp. Can anyone explain the mechanics of this? Is there a correlation between the sheathing connected at the source and the charge going in the other direct or are the 2 unrelated?
Thanks,Rick

Try contacting Sonic Craft if you haven't completed this project. I'm sure that they can help you out. That site sells various Neotech cables and can terminate them for you at fair price.

It seems millercarbon's friend would build cables from scratch. This cable is factory made and only requires you to terminate the ends. His post doesn't reflect whether or not he and his friend have experience with this cable so don't be discouraged.

There is a favorable review on the Take Five Audio website from someone who has actual experience with this cable.
