Off and on over the past two days, I’ve been burning some CDs for a friend, being careful to select those with superior performances and sound quality. As I was digging deep into the CD collection, I pulled out a little gem that any jazz fan reading this should jump on. If you like Miles Davis and John Coltrane from the Kind of Blue era, here’s one not to pass up:

It only came in mono, but like a lot of the early mono jazz recordings, it sounds very natural and involving. I have the "Six-Eye" original LP too. If you can find it, grab it. It has superior sound also.
I haven’t listened to this recording since installing The Gate and the Stop-Its. I knew it was good ... but now it is just incredible.
