what's the real story on china-hifi-audio? legit online shop or not?

I see alot of seemingly good legit reviews from people who purchase from china-hifi-audio

they put out a press release in December indicating that they carry Line Magnetic
Line Magnetic suggests on their site that only the listed authorized dealers carry their stuff, while I'm getting a wink wink feeling to that, I also know a very reputable dealer that carries Line magnetic product that he gets directly from them,  who is not listed on their site
my guess at this time is that its grey market stuff, real product sans packaging warranty and support
who knows the real story here?

Well, they do sell 110V components, e.g., https://www.china-hifi-audio.com/en/jungson-audio-amplifier-cd-player-c-27/jungson-ja-99c-class-a-power-amp-full-balanced-deluxe-edition-20th-anniversary-p-2104

You might want to see the review at https://www.tnt-audio.com/ampli/jungson_ja99_e.html

Who knows; the 80 Watt Class A power amp may be a deal at $1215!

Apparently if you simply Google the individual components you get a fuller description.

Interesting!
Fellow Audiogoners, I am a beginner hifi enthusiast but quickly wanted to catch up with what i have missed in life. I did purchase used good speakers and solid state amps, then moved into tubes as well within a 8 months etc...experimenting many different amps, and speakers etc..
I would happily say that china-hifi-audio is real.
After some research on tube amplifiers, I took a chance and bought a Muzishare x7 online from china-hifi-audio, just like that...Just went to the side and paid for it...This was on Aug 27, immediately I got an email notification showing me the invoice and purchase details...Then days passed, no other update on my account...I was getting nervous :), then I emailed asking update after 3 4 days on my purchase. Another day or two past, I got more nervous :) then Yong Lee responded my email, he was apologizing for the delayed email.  He had lots of information about my order already. He said, X7 is out of stock, he contacted the factory, they are also out of stock, and it will be available around September 10, (important part here, he only said "available" ) then he was asking if I want to wait for it. I said sure, I will wait (nervously).....Then no other communications absolutely nothing :) Today September 11 my door got knocked, UPS man was holding a large heavy box in front of me...I saw big X7 logo on the box right a way...I was shocked and sooo happyyyyyy....All the packing was great, dual boxes, even outside box was marked as X7 and inside box containing X7. I plugged in and start enjoying this marvel. So, the short story is...China-hifi-audio is great....legit..truthful...no issues....You can contact me for further customer reference if you would like...
After a lot of hesitation (and in particular after reading this blog) I took the risk to purchase an Opera Consonance Reference 5.5 MKII from them back in December 2020.

Like cb3489, I quickly got an email from them confirming the order and then nothing for about a week... I sent them an email to ask what was happening with my order. Within a couple of days, I had a reply back from them deeply apologizing for the delayed delivery, and indicating that the amplifier would be sent by the end of the week. Eventually, the amplifier turned up about a week later (in the meantime, I  had got the parcel number for tracking the parcel). The goods were nicely packed and corresponded exactly to what I had ordered.

All I had to pay was an extra $60 directly to DHL (I still think to that day that I was never invoiced for Value-Added tax which amounts to 19% in Germany). So all in all, I ended paying about half the price I would have paid if buying from a distributor in Germany (around $4,000). I normally buy all my audio gear from local retailers here in Germany, but the savings on this high-end amplifier were simply too big to ignore...

Did I mention it also sounded amazing with a pair of Klipsch Heresy IV? (see how China and America  can be re-conciliated over high-end audio - a British turntable from Rega is acting as the mediator between the 2 ;-))

Of course, I cannot 100% recommend that there are never any issues with this company, but my experience was very positive with them. If you are thinking of buying from them, I would suggest that you pay using Paypal, since it is rather easy later on to recover your money in case the goods are never delivered.
