What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report

I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.

This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

Hail Mary ...Dark New Day

Ripped CD to Aries Mini.

A very short lived supergroup mores the pity imho
Walk Between Worlds ... Simple Minds

Tidal MQA upsampled even further to 24/192.
Great Hughes album there G!

Famous Last Words ... Supertramp.

Not one of their better known works but really nicely produced and some good tracks.
The House of Hair internet radio station.

Some great tunes on here, lazy day!
Virgil is one heck of a skinman for sure but overall those albums are a little too metal for me... Lol
Older age and warts and all now.

👴👴👴
So this is what I am listening to tonight.

Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert live.

Tidal
Gawdbless

Now their are two blasts from my past indeed!

Remember seeing both of them live back in Blighty!

You can call the Quo the original three chord wonders but boy did they put on a rock n roll show live!
Going to continue in same vein with some more good ol Brit rock,n,roll.

Homewreckers and Heartbreakers .... The Quireboys.

One of the best live high energy rock,n,roll shows I ever saw was a double header of The Quireboys and The Dogs at The infamous Boat Club in Nottingham. One of the small clubs Led Zep got their start in!

A blast from start to end!
Try this for size...

In The Dynamite Jet Saloon ... Dogs D'Amour.

Be surprised if anybody heard of them never mind heard them ... Lol
Not in my cdp either... Do not even have one in my main system any more!

But some great tunes nonetheless.

Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Vol 1 on the real deal cassette as per the movie.
One fun part of listening to this is visualizing the part of the movie each song fits!

One of my daughter and myself fave movies along with the highly irreverent Deadpool!
Fancy that ! Cassettes still being made in 2018!
Love Rory G.
Another sad waste of talent taken too soon.
Glad I caught him live  at Rock City, Nottingham back many years ago!
Eclipse ... Journey.

And how this music is getting to my speakers is a journey for sure!.

Old Samsung bluray player I paid $20 free shipping about 7 years ago from eBay, feeding a Samsung smart tv via HDMI. It is output from the TV via Toslink to a $4500 DAC ( upsampled to 24/192)and onwards by XLR to my Ayre ax7e amp.

And yes it sounds good to my ears!
G.

No I have not seen that film but I will do now for sure.

For now....
Feral Roots ... Rival Sons.

Tidal

Quite like these guys.....
Tango in the Night .... Fleetwood Mac.

CD on a Sony Discman fed into my main rig. Don't knock these lil gems until you have tried one! Battery power, small chassis, sidesteps a lot of issues large mains power players suffer from.
Patience is not my middle name G. Lol.

I did find it at my LRS today but did not buy as it is on vhs, even I do not have one of those anymore!

I suppose I could use one of those services to transfer it to disc, not sure if it worth all that cost and trouble though.
Let Your Dim Light Shine ... Soul Asylum.

CD ... 50 cents today at the thrift store.
Paid Vacation ... Richard Marx.

Not my favorite performer but the SQ on this CD is pretty decent.

Or its my Modwright OPPO played through my Ayon tube DAC that is flattering it a lot ... Lol.
Fantastic experience there Steve!

Your description conjures a glorious vision and a "wish I had been there" feeling!
Next Planet Please ... David Chastain.

A very good instrumental album and very we'll recorded imho.

Hard to complain at 50 cents a CD.....

It is pretty much like the huge vinyl dumping of the early 80,s on CD right now, most thrift shops have racks of them at 50 to 99 cents a pop.
Soldiers Under Command..... Stryper.

Christian rock hair band from the 80,s.
Talking of absent members....
Where did Charles go ( Ghosthouse) himself?
Not seen him posting forever either.

Well not 15 years but quite some time.
