I am not familiar with AudioSpace CD player? Tell me more.

Thank You for the follow up. That is quite a collection of gear. Conrad Johnson/McCormack will become a lively, sonic, match for the CS5i loudspeaker. Good to read that your employing Synergistic Research (SR) cabling. Are you using a full loom? A Don Sachs pre-amp is highly regarded. I did not know that he was still in business?

Good to see you here again. Agreed, Pass Labs and SR cabling are sonic matches for Thiel Loudspeakers.

Thank You, for the follow up on AudioSpace cd player. I do recall seeing that ad on U.S. AudioMart (USADM). Good to read that the spinner found the next home.

Right On! Spec(s) are a starting point. Still, numbers do not tell the whole story.

Sure- a full loom of cabling means Interconnects (IC), Power Cords (PC) and Speaker Cable (SP). Additionally, one could use a Phono cable for turntable plus the various Digital cable(s) for DAC, Server and/or Streamer, in any system. Enjoy retirement and the Music!

Thank You for citing Transparent cables for your Esoteric player.

My pleasure. There is plenty of time to explore Power Cords. 10 feet is a good measure for Speaker cables as well. Additionally, an upgraded Fuse is not a bad idea. it can only better the Aural experience.

Welcome! Good to see you here today. Take the time to read through this thread and you will discover a plethora of Information. The CS 2.4 is a Honey of a loudspeaker. Nice inheritance gift!
My 1st 2.4 audition featured a Creek integrated amp (the older black/green scheme) NAD BEE cd player and Audioquest all around. This particular combo was very Musical. The Creek really held its own. I listened as loud as I wanted without degradation in presentation/sound.
Living in a small NYC apartment you will not require Rock concert decibel levels.
There has never been a better time to seek out an Integrated amp. Not only do I endorse one, I own one. And I was a separates die-hard for decades. The advancements and technology are incredible. More and more Audio manufacturers are producing these guys year after year.
Keep me posted on your buying decision. Have fun!

As above, in addition to an upgraded fuse providing a better Aural experience, hopefully, an extra measure of critical protection as well.

I am excited that Bill will revive the SCD-1 again. It is still a Reference player in 2021.

2nd Note;
I feel fortunate enough to have auditioned S/N 50/51. Those speakers had to be part of early production?

Thank You for chiming in on this black-background matter. Good to read that you preferred the FST XO in your CS 2.4SE loudspeakers.

Thank You for the clarification regarding SE status.

I stand corrected. Once I figure out my Cabling of choice, I will consult you to assist my XO status based upon S/N 177/178. It would be of interest to learn the cut-off production point from Lexington Board to FST XO points?

Thank You again for the follow up. Very informative information regarding the FST vs. Lexington boards. I will send a PM for further discussion.

Thank You for citing your system- very nice gear. At your particular level, I would not change anything. If, by chance, a pair of CS 2.4SE crosses your radar, consider a loudspeaker upgrade. You can expect more aural goodness that the stock CS 2.4 already provides.

Nice score! on the V3 DAC. Thank You for the follow up. Like beetlemania, I too, own AYRE Acoustics gear. I can attest to higher quality sources bringing out the loudspeaker's attributes. Keep me posted as you massage the V3 into your room/system.

I am thinking that not too many pairs of models CS 2.7 and CS 3.7 were sold. I could be wrong in my estimate? Both arte very fine loudspeakers.

Thank You for the Middle Crossing update. I know that you will find another space for your Musical instruments and Audio businesses. It is refreshing to read that S/N 220-230 possibly have the FST/China XO. Perhaps my pair side-stepped this issue? The CS 2.4 model is a darling/honey of a loudspeaker to my ears. I can hardly await to see how your updated XO interpretation turns out!
