Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

You are on your way- thieliste,

I especially liked the pic of your cables (the forgotten component).

Happy Listening!
Good day-

I want to say that at least of the gentlemen in this thread owns the CS 7.2 model. Hopefully, he will see your query and reply soon.

I concur- unsound
D'Agnostino products are outstanding!  Beautiful to the eye as well.
Excellent! thieliste,

I knew I had at least (1) CS 7.2 owner that contributed to our thread.

Happy Listening!
unsound,

my reference Power amp, until, I can get some audition time w/ Pass Labs
is the Conrad Johnson (CJ) Premier 350SA.  This is a beast! Gorgeous as well.
robinbarbour-

good to see you again. If you find yourself in Dallas TX, check out Audio Concepts for a D'Agnostino gear demo.

Happy Listening!
thieliste-

if I had the appropriate listening space, I would have bought the CS 3.7 model as well.  Good to see you guys on this Sunday afternoon.

Happy Listening!
Laughing....Dave,

Christmas is a magical time when anything can happen. Maybe Santa will drop stop you the DDA monoblocks.

Happy Monday!
Don't think so, unsound.

If you have ever seen and stood next to the CS 3.7 loudspeakers, these things are big, massive, compared to the CS 2.4/ 2.4SE. Weighs much more as well.
Extra weight indeed- unsound.

during my audition trials, I lifted the CS 2.4, CS 2.4 SE, CS 2.7 and CS 3.7 models for good measure. This is how I formed by basis for reporting such facts.  It is one thing to look, visually inspect, any loudspeaker. It is quite different to actually pick it up (by yourself) and carry it around the listening room for placement purposes. The CS 3.7 is certainly more cumbersome and heavier to haul around from room to room.

in my travels and auditions over the years, I can attest, REL is a very nice solution for those looking to add a subwoofer (or 2) in their system.
The older models were not sourced to china.

Happy Listening!
I can remember reading about Dunlavy loudspeakers back in the 1990's.
Rave reviews all over the Audio press- what happened to this manufacturer?

Happy Listening!
I understand- unsound.
As luck will have it, we will always have their respective loudspeakers.
Happy Listening!

Patience is a virtue. I am in no hurry as I want to do it right.

TY- chrshanl37-

after completing your new home, what gear do you aspire to own?

How do you like Dana Cable?

Happy Friday All-

as we enter into the Christmas weekend, careful travels to you guys.
It is a time for family, friends, good music and even better food.
I am especially grateful for the many blessings daily.
Outstanding! thieliste,

I concur w/ Dave (dlcockrum), you are in for a musical treat!

Happy Listening!
Merry Christmas- bobsjr4

Good to see you again. What other gear including cabling is in your system?  IMO, the CS 2.4 is the real sleeper in the modern Thiel line-up.

You own a very nice system- bobsjr4

Nothing wrong w/ being modest. I, myself, am in the process of building a modest 2-channel system w/ reference -grade components.

Cabling is the most important component and is sadly forgotten by many.

Merry Christmas
