Hi hic, The hfx grounding station's are larger with more cerelex compound inside than the orignal grounding station's you once owned year's ago, it is also important to use the supplied tiny banana jumper cable's that connect to the cable and hfx grounding station, never run a grounding station directly to the interconect, you will loose body and sound stage size, dimensionality as well, so the answer to your question is no, the orignal the one with the orignal grounding station's are not as good sounding, but still very good compared to other similar priced cable's.
