Selling Vintage equipment

How do I determine what is a fair price to sell equipment? I have several vintage pieces that I priced based on Ebay but I'm not sure that is the best route to go. I have an interested buyer but some items are listed as low as 950.00 bucks on Ebay--what is a happy medium? I took the equipment to an audio show and they offered nearly pennies for each piece, definitely not interested in making nothing. Any suggestions would be helpful!

eBay SOLD listing sometimes provide valuable information. If you don't get an adequate sample size, you might try reaching out to the folks in the vintage audio forums at AudioKarma. There is a thriving vintage audio community and many members of the community use the Audiokarma forum. BTW, one of the forums at AudioKarma is "Dollars and Sense". In the description it explicitly lists "What's my gear worth?" as one of the uses for that particular forum. www.AudioKarma.org should get you there.

Having sold tons of vintage gear the past 3 or 4 years nothing is easy unless you give it way domestically .This is not the site to sell on for sure and i find ebay is or has become a bottomfeeder forum. The money is overseas, it use to be the Japanese market, its now China,South Korea that are spending realistic money.Shame US buyers are cheap and the good stuff has left our shores but look for venues to access those markets to maximize what you have
