Seeking feedback on Kef egg 5.1

My brother just bought a house with a basement home theater system that has a Kef egg 5.1 surround system. I've seen the system but have not heard it.  He doesn't want a home theater setup and has offered me the system.

I'm trying to find what model the system is by Googling images and trying to identify it by sight. His system has a rather small oval shaped powered subwoofer and I haven't been able to find a photo of that particular set. Is this a good surround system? They appear to be full range streakers, like Bose.  Would this be an upgrade over what I currently have which are the old Radio Shack Minimus 7 speakers, paired with a largish RCA powered sub.
