RCA shaded dog ???

I have heard a lot mentioned about RCA shaded dog recordings, especicially by Michael Fremmer from Stereophile magazine. How do you decipher when you have a RCA shaded dog LP? Thanks

I think I may of found one of theses today. There is no date on the cover. It is of Tchaikovsky 1812 overture and the other side is Ravel/Bolero by the Morton Gould Orchestra. The shaded area is not a circle though but rather oval shaped. It sound very nice.
There are 2 different color labels which have RCA Shaded Dogs. There is a dark red and a "tomato soup" red color. The "tomato soup" colored Shaded Dog is the preferred pressing. They all fall under the RCA Living Stereo category.
Go to this link and look up RCA Victor Red Seal for examples. This site will also give you examples of other labels.
