Truly scary how many speakers I have been through since 1972:

Tangent mini monitor (Canadian) purchased for $550

While a lot of money has been spent over the years, it is interesting to note that many people have spent more money on just one set of speakers, while I have been using several pairs for what ultimately is not a backbreaking amount.
