I'm still shocked no one commented on roor's electrical installation. I'm a master electrician. I have done audiophile installations and am very passionate about getting the most quiet installation and being safe. roor's installation is absolutly, unequivocally dangerous and wrong on many levels. Never, ever, ever install as he has done.
Roor, ground your system right. Hopefully the only person you kill is yourself. Not your kid or his /her friends. What you did is stupid.
Always run a ground from the panel to your receptacle. Never ever float a ground from an audio rack into the yard. It's so stupid it just infuriates me. Don't do it.
If you want to bury a copper pipe, go ahead. But only connect it to your main bonding jumper in your panel. Personally I drive 3/4" x 10' copper ground rods. They are made for the job. Copper pipe will oxidize pretty quick and become useless over time.
