New to me von schweikert v4 upgrade 5/7 looking for amp

THe speakers are biwireable and biampleable. My current amp which i am happy with is an integrated rogue tempest. The second tube amp ive tried. I like tubes.

the speakers are supposedly revealing of bad amps and sources. So i believe an amp upgrade might be needed. Though about a high wattage used tube amp that can go linear or triode.also thought about modern ss amp on lower and a lower wattage set amp for the top. Big room, tall ceilings….. mostly jazz, then rock, then classical….. hopefully there is someone here with familiarity of the speaker who can advise. Thanks in advance.

Yes its the vr4. Audiotroy, why not bi amp with different amps? From what little i know and have read ss has better control of the bass and obiously more cheaper watts. Thanks for the answer ive lurked long posted little.

Because you need an external crossover to get the system to matchwe HD vr4 a long time ago one good amp is sll you need

I’ll tell my experience...I have VS VR4jr euro speakers. Bought in about 15 years ago. At the time researched..as you probably have ...and its was reported best but complcated thing was to BIAMP VS with tube top and SS bottom. 2nd best was SS with a tube pre. Was reported and told to me by Albert VonScjweikert VS had good synergy with Spectron class D amps being fed by Joule Electra pre. I bought and used Spectron mono Blocs biamped with the Joule pre. Sounded good...but I lost interest and sold everything except speakers.

Recently dug out my speakers and bought a cheap chinese integrated tube amp...Muzishare X7. Wasnt sure if it had the power...but at my listening levels(70db)...very ample...and to top it off this $1100 amp sounds light years better than the $13,000 amp pre from before. It just drawn me in to the music and wont let go. I think it is the tubes. I biwire now.

FYI my speakers have an effiancy rating of 89db....not sure about yours.
