New Al Stewart remasters: any good?

Rhino reissued Year of the Cat and Time Passages on April 27. Other than the fact that there aren't any bonus tracks, which is very miserly on the part of the people involved, are these worth purchasing? Is YOTC an improvement over the 2001 UK remaster that had three bonus tracks?

Thanks.

Recroom,

Compare to the original Arista releases these are an improvement. They're not the best I've heard but they're not bad. I think you'll enjoy them.

I like them. Prefer my mfsl vinyl. They are good though.

PS
I hate bonus tracks.
I think the Rhino remastering of Year Of The Cat is an improvement over the 2001 UK re-issue despite the fact there may have been some form of noise reduction used by Rhino as someone suggested. I'm not sure where they got that information from...maybe just guess work!?
Have you listened to the MFSL version that was released in the mid-eighties. Some say this is the better version as it a direct-transfer.
I definately feel the Rhino version of Time Passages is superior to that of the Arista, Joe Gastwirt remastered cd.
