My Long List of Amplifiers and My Personal Review of Each!

So I have been in a long journey looking to find the best amplifiers for my martin logan montis. As you know, the match between an amplifier and speakers has to be a good "marriage" and needs to be blend exquisitely. Right now, I think I might have found the best sounding amplifier for martin logan. I have gone through approximately 34-36 amplifiers in the past 12 months. Some of these are:

Bryston ST, SST, SST2 series
NAD M25
PARASOUND HALO
PARASOUND CLASSIC
KRELL TAS
KRELL KAV 500
KRELL CHORUS
ROTEL RMB 1095
CLASSE CT 5300
CLASSE CA 2200
CLASSE CA 5200
MCINTOSH MC 205
CARY AUDIO CINEMA 7
OUTLAW AUDIO 755
LEXICON RX7
PASS LABS XA 30.8
BUTLER AUDIO 5150
ATI SIGNATURE SERIES 6005

With all that said, the amplifiers I mentioned above are the ones that in my opinion are worth mentioning. To make a long story short, there is NO 5 CHANNEL POWER AMP that sounds as good as a 3ch and 2ch amplifier combination. i have done both experiments and the truth is that YOU DO lose details and more channel separation, etc when you select a 5 channel power amplifier of any manufacturer.
My recollection of what each amp sounded like is as follows:

ATI SIGNATURE SERIES 6005 (great power and amazing soundstage. Very low noise floor, BUT this amplifiers NEEDS TO BE cranked up in order to fully enjoy it. If you like listening at low volume levels or somewhat moderate, you are wasting your time here. This amp won’t sound any different than many other brands out there at this volume. The bass is great, good highs although they are a bit bright for my taste)

NAD M25 (very smooth, powerful, but somewhat thin sounding as far as bass goes)
Bryston sst2(detailed, good soundstage, good power, but can be a little forward with certain speakers which could make them ear fatiguing at loud volumes)

Krell (fast sounding, nice bass attack, nice highs, but some detail does get lost with certain speakers)

rotel (good amp for the money, but too bright in my opinion)

cary audio (good sound overall, very musical, but it didn’t have enough oomph)

parasound halo (good detail, great bass, but it still holds back some background detail that i can hear in others)

lexicon (very laid back and smooth. huge power, but if you like more detail or crisper highs, this amp will disappoint you)

McIntosh mc205 (probably the worst multichannel amp given its price point. it was too thin sounding, had detail but lacked bass.

butler audio (good amplifier. very warm and smooth sweet sounding. i think for the money, this is a better amp than the parasound a51)

pass labs (very VERY musical with excellent bass control. You can listen to this for hours and hours without getting ear fatigue. however, it DOES NOT do well in home theater applications if all you have is a 2 channel set up for movies. The midrange gets somewhat "muddy" or very weak sounding that you find yourself trying to turn it up.

classe audio (best amplifier for multi channel applications. i simply COULDNT FIND a better multi channel amplifier PERIOD. IT has amazing smoothness, amazing power and good bass control although i would say krell has much better bass control)

Update: The reviews above were done in January 2015. Below is my newest update as of October 2016:

PS AUDIO BHK 300 MONOBLOCKS: Amazing amps. Tons of detail and really amazing midrange. the bass is amazing too, but the one thing i will say is that those of you with speakers efficiency of 87db and below you will not have all the "loudness" that you may want from time to time. These amps go into protection mode when using a speaker such as the Salon, but only at very loud levels. Maybe 97db and above. If you don’t listen to extreme crazy levels, these amps will please you in every way.

Plinius Odeon 7 channel amp: This is THE BEST multichannel amp i have ever owned. Far , but FAR SUPERIOR to any other multichannel amp i have owned. In my opinion it destroyed all of the multichannel amps i mentioned above and below. The Odeon is an amp that is in a different tier group and it is in a league of its own. Amazing bass, treble and it made my center channel sound more articulate than ever before. The voices where never scrambled with the action scenes. It just separated everything very nicely.

Theta Dreadnaught D: Good detailed amp. Looks very elegant, has a pleasant sound, but i found it a tad too bright for my taste. I thought it was also somewhat "thin" sounding lacking body to the music. could be that it is because it is class d?

Krell Duo 300: Good amp. Nice and detailed with enough power to handle most speakers out there. I found that it does have a very nice "3d" sound through my electrostatics. Nothing to fault here on this amp.
Mark Levinson 532H: Great 2 channel amp. Lots of detail, amazing midrange which is what Mark Levinson is known for. It sounds very holographic and will please those of you looking for more detail and a better midrange. As far as bass, it is there, but it is not going to give you the slam of a pass labs 350.5 or JC1s for example. It is great for those that appreciate classical music, instrumental, etc, but not those of you who love tons of deep bass.

 It is articulate sounding too
Krell 7200: Plenty of detail and enough power for most people. i found that my rear speakers contained more information after installed this amp. One thing that i hated is that you must use xlr cables with this amp or else you lose most of its sound performance when using RCA’s.

Krell 402e: Great amp. Very powerful and will handle any speaker you wish. Power is incredible and with great detail. That said, i didn’t get all the bass that most reviewers mentioned. I thought it was "ok" in regards to bass. It was there, but it didn’t slam me to my listening chair.

Bryston 4B3: Good amp with a complete sound. I think this amp is more laid back than the SST2 version. I think those of you who found the SST2 version of this amp a little too forward with your speakers will definitely benefit from this amp’s warmth. Bryston has gone towards the "warm" side in my opinion with their new SST3 series. As always, they are built like tanks. I wouldn’t call this amp tube-like, but rather closer to what the classe audio delta 2 series sound like which is on the warm side of things.

Parasound JC1s: Good powerful amps. Amazing low end punch (far superior bass than the 402e). This amp is the amp that i consider complete from top to bottom in regards to sound. Nothing is lacking other than perhaps a nicer chassis. Parasound needs to rework their external appearance when they introduce new amps. This amp would sell much more if it had a revised external appearance because the sound is a great bang for the money. It made my 800 Nautilus scream and slam. Again, amazing low end punch.

Simaudio W7: Good detailed amp. This amp reminds me a lot of the Mark Levinson 532h. Great detail and very articulate. I think this amp will go well with bookshelves that are ported in order to compensate for what it lacks when it comes to the bass. That doesn’t mean it has no bass, but when it is no Parasound JC1 either.
Pass labs 350.5: Wow, where do i begin? maybe my first time around with the xa30.8 wasn’t as special as it was with this monster 350.5. It is just SPECTACULAR sounding with my electrostatics. The bass was THE BEST BASS i have ever heard from ANY amp period. The only amp that comes close would be the jC1s. It made me check my settings to make sure the bass was not boosted and kept making my jaw drop each time i heard it. It totally destroyed the krell 402e in every regard. The krell sounded too "flat" when compared to this amp. This amp had amazing mirange with great detail up top. In my opinion, this amp is the best bang for the money. i loved this amp so much that i ended up buying the amp that follows below.

Pass labs 250.8: What can i say here. This is THE BEST STEREO AMP i have ever heard. This amp destroys all the amps i have listed above today to include the pass labs 350.5. It is a refined 350.5 amp. It has more 3d sound which is something the 350.5 lacked. It has a level of detail that i really have never experienced before and the bass was amazing as well. I really thought it was the most complete power amplifier i have ever heard HANDS DOWN. To me, this is a benchmark of an amplifier. This is the amp that others should be judged by. NOTHING is lacking and right now it is the #1 amplifier that i have ever owned.

My current amps are Mcintosh MC601s: i decided to give these 601s a try and they don’t disappoint. They have great detail, HUGE soundstage, MASSIVE power and great midrange/highs. The bass is great, but it is no pass labs 250.8 or 350.5. As far as looks, these are the best looking amps i have ever owned. No contest there. i gotta be honest with you all, i never bought mcintosh monos before because i wasn’t really "wowed" by the mc452, but it could have been also because at that time i was using a processor as a preamp which i no longer do. Today, i own the Mcintosh C1100 2 chassis tube preamp which sounds unbelievable. All the amps i just described above have been amps that i auditioned with the C1100 as a preamp. The MC601s sound great without a doubt, but i will say that if you are looking for THE BEST sound for the money, these would not be it. However, Mcintosh remains UNMATCHED when it comes to looks and also resale value. Every other amp above depreciates much faster than Mcintosh.

That said, my future purchase (when i can find a steal of a deal) will be the Pass labs 350.8. I am tempted to make a preliminary statement which is that i feel this amp could be THE BEST stereo amp under 30k dollars. Again, i will be able to say more and confirm once i own it. I hope this update can help you all in your buying decisions!

So, you speak for the "WE"?  I don't think so.  The reason this thread is not more popular is because it is esoteric.....hardly anyone can relate to it.  More love is more love.......less love is less love.  Pretty simple.  Esoteric is limiting......limiting....means less.  Some people like their "exclusive clubs".....makes them feel special (the ego, that is).  Ego is fine, we all have one.  But soul is ever expanding.....wanting to serve all...then the soul feels its worth.
Everything makes a difference...

Line sources have advantages.....so do point sources.  What is really crucial is how something is done.  Wilson has 4 veiled binding posts and one veiled spade in series with the mids and highs.  You will never get all the information possible doing this.  No matter how good your tweeter is you cannot get back natural information that is lost with binding posts, etc.

I had a neat experience Friday when I went to my friends house to redo a crossover for his completely custom made Apogee Duetta speakers.  After the fix we listened to about 5 different songs through the original fully custom and tweaked crossover.  Then we put in the new crossover that I built for him.....OMG....what a difference.....like it was a new speaker.  Less bright, less glare, way warmer and yet way, way more information.  He played a jazz piece with the old crossover and when it started I said to him.....Is this a mono recording?....then information came in from each side showing me that it was indeed a stereo recording......but the original three instruments that started the cut were so close together I thought it was mono.  With the new crossover the size of all three instruments was larger and they were now separate with air around each one.....incredible difference this new crossover made.  His custom Apogee speakers gave me the best sound I have ever heard using a streaming source (no master tapes).  Would not take any Wilson under $200K for what i heard then.....and he has tweaks yet to make to the network in the speaker and to the footers underneath the xovers.  He is going to France tomorrow for 5 weeks and he will be running the speakers continuously while he is gone.  I have a couple of pics of his new xover on my site.  I will add some more pics, info and pics of his entire system down the road.  The input connectors are plastic bolts, washers and wing nuts....the worlds best connecting system....cheap too.

Crossover pics at bottom of page.

One of the reasons his system is so incredible is his AC system.  He is using a 3000 watt inverter.....so completely off the grid and then followed by the incredible Puritan Audio line filter and the Puritan Audio grounding system including a separate grounding rod that he had installed outside his room.  Talking about low noise!!!!!  No loss of dynamics or anything using this system.....just fantastic.

You can read how a $350 inverter blew away the $10,000 PS Audio P20 and equaled the $20,000 Stromtank inverter.

http://enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/0119/Goal_Zero_Yeti_400_Lithium_Portable_Power_Station_R...

Add the Puritan line filter and grounding system and you are in Nirvana.  You do not want an all in one like the Yeti....you want a separate 3000 watt low distortion sine wave inverter and bank of batteries (if you are running class A.....if class D then one battery)....and a separate charger.
All in one units have fans inside that come on most of the time......you do not want a noisy fan in your room.  I modded my Yeti 400 so the fan does not come on.  The guy that reviewed the Yeti 400 now has a second Yeti 1200 for his Pass 250.8 amp.....however, he put it in the closet so he does not have to hear the fan.  My friend with the modded Apogee speakers uses the Yeti 3000 watter.....but in another room and runs a cable through the wall to his Puritan Audio filter.  The only reason he bought the Yeti is that he wants to use it as back up power for the house when the power company shuts off the power when the winds get high.  All inverters will sound slightly different.  I have not sonically compared inverters.....but everyone I know who uses one (whether an all in one or separates) is thrilled with the sonic and visual (video) improvements.

Separates are also more flexible (you can keep adding batteries) and way, way cheaper than all in ones.  A good 3000 watt low distortion sine wave inverter is not more than $500.....add two 100 amp batteries for $300 and another hundred or so for a big charger and you have less than $1K and you have 2000 watts of storage.  You can listen with the charger connected so you can leave your system all the time.....however, it sounds slightly better to disconnect the charger when listening......a simple switch is all you need......but if you forget to turn the charger back on then your batteries will drain to zero.....you don't want that......if you were a tweaker you could make or buy a voltage sensing switch so when the voltage dropped below say 11 volts the charger would automatically reconnect.

You are completely off the grid with an inverter.....same great sound day and night.  All inverters put out some noise.  This is why a great filter like the Puritan helps more.....and then the grounding filter and grounding rod take it over the top.  The Puritan will isolate each component from each other so any noise in one component won't affect the other.
Do a search. I just now searched and found the following....lots of other possibilities, too.
Here is a possible inverter:
https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Inverter-Battery-Converter-Saving/dp/B096MKPQ1M/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B...

Here is a 200A battery.....really heavy.....two 100 ampers are easier to manage:
https://www.renogy.com/deep-cycle-agm-battery-12-volt-200ah/?gclid=CjwKCAjwh5qLBhALEiwAioods9BZUDm2u...

Here is a 430 watt charger:
https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Converters/Go-Power/34266167.html?feed=npn&utm_source=google&utm...

The Yeti’s will run the fan at even low power as they are all in one’s.....cramming the battery and the inverter with handles, etc. into a plastic case. The separate metal heatsinked inverters usually won’t start their fan till they get to half power continuously (check with manufacturer for specific specs)......who uses 1500 watts continuous?

Like I said....use a separate ground system. Inverters do not deal with ground. You can just run a ground wire from true ground to your components....or run a ground wire to the Puritan.....and best to use separate grounding rod with the Puritan ground filter.

You want your system grounded for lowest noise.
You cannot expect to know anything about a subject by trying one product or whatever.  Because you do not like the ones you tried does not mean they all sound the same.  If you only try one thing.....you are ignorant of the possibilities.....he just said that the Sortkones were way better than the ones you tried.  You need to try at least a dozen different ones......just like cables....just like preamps.....they all sound different.  Did you try one amp and think you know what all amps sound like?  If you really had a goal of the best sound then you would experiment with whatever things can give it to you.  Better feet = better sound.  If you do not want the best sound possible then you will just skip this process.  No problem.....we all do what we want......but again, if you want the best sound possible, then you need the best footers for each component.  This is not being some kind of tweaker (you have said again and again that you are not a tweaker).  This is being a music lover who knows that everything makes a difference.  You can afford to do these kind of experiments......with footers, with various line conditioning, fuses, etc.  This is why some cheaper systems can sound way better than more expensive systems....because someone took the time to fine tune his rig.  Do you want the best sound possible or do you just want to swap gear?  You are beautiful no matter what you do.  Have fun.
Ralph at Atmasphere is shipping his first limited production Gan mono block class D amps (200 watts into 4 ohms).  Please see my questions and his answers here:

At $5300 a pair they may rock the audio world.  If I were Jay I would immediately be ordering a pair.  These could give his class A amps a run for the money.
The Soulution sounds like Viber6's kind of sound......super detailed, dry, and lacking soundstage.  Makes sense that the Soulution sounded best with the warm sounding Constellation amps.  Dose not sound like anything I would like......me...I want all the details....all the soundstage and no dry analytical sound.......I want to be moved.
My sense is that the Soulution DAC is not normal....most DACs do not have that level of output stage.  This is why the Soulution DAC sounds best straight in....where as the MSB DAC does not have as good of output stage.....so a better line stage improves the sound.  Just a guess.

Almost all DACs have an analog stage on the output of the DAC system.  It is there, you must use it.

Blah blah blah.....he he.  Preamps can shrink the natural soundstage as well as expand it......so can interconnects (some feel the Synergistic stuff unnaturally expands the soundstage....I wonder what the networked Transparent cables do?).  The only way to know if the closed in soundstage (according to Jay compared to other preamps) on the 725 is natural is to straight wire bypass it.  Most solid state preamps do not unnaturally expand the soundstage.....tubes, that is another story.  Without straight wire bypass tests you cannot call the 725 natural or real or accurate. Viber likes to make up stuff to defend his position.  Wish he would stick to what he experiences directly.....ie: direct sound tests in his own room.  He says he abhors expensive equipment.....why keep posting here?
I have the feeling that if you straight wire bypassed most tube gear........you would find it "adding" that "reel you in soul thrill".  Not that there is anything wrong with adding some beauty.  Especially since many recordings are stripped of some of their beauty during recording and playback .  Much of the "live beauty" can be captured using solid state and tweaking your stereo to the max (no binding posts, no fuses, no LEDs, cables off floor, super line conditioning, super ground system, etc.).

Viber6,
What DAC are you using to do your evaluations?  Seems I remember the Benchmark DAC 1?
Viber6,
I suggest "improving" your playback system instead of trying to "prove" something to people on this forum.

A stock Sony CD player playing untreated CDs and not on great line conditioning and great footers and stand will give you nothing like what can be decoded from the CD. I am assuming a lot here. Maybe.....you already do some of the above. Sony CD players can sound great if greatly modded. None sound good stock.....none. The Benchmark DAC 1 is a joke.....each Benchmark DAC since then is better and many people prefer many DACs under $4k to the Benchmark 3.

To get the "real" sound from a CD you must treat it like crazy. You need to sand the outer and inner edge.....black the out and inner edge and the clear area around the center hole and also black the whole top of the CD or at least put 6 black lines on it. Opaque flat black paint marker (not ink) is best. Then you must treat both sides of the CD with a great CD treatment (I use Ultrabit Platinum plus).....then you must use the Herbies Super Black hole CD mat and you must destatic or demagnetize the CD on each play (destaticing or demagnetizing only lasts 6-7 minutes however......but while it is still effective....OMG).

I don’t understand how you can seriously hear anything (including doing straight wire bypass tests) using an extremely limiting source.
The train of our life goes down the track of our choosing.  Where does the track you choose go to?  Choose wisely.  Bless you....Bless you.....Thank you....Thank you.  Yes, we can all fly.  We are all deserving.  We are beautiful.  May your track and train find the highest joy.
In a private email I had told Viber6 a few weeks ago that I would not hold up the mirror to him any more and that he now had to grow on his own.  I forgot that I said that and got caught up in the moment.  We are all.....always a mirror for each other.......we would not grow otherwise.

There is only so much one's ego can handle.....even though the ego is a made up thing.....not real.  When we heavily identify with it and someone calls us on it....it can be devastating to our false sense of worth......The ego has no eternal worth....it is always changing and taking on a new shape depending on the desires of the soul.

It is always best to love everyone and acknowledge everyone.......and, at the same time, you hold the mirror up and show them where they are not loving or truthful.  We are not our ego.......we are infinite love and joy.  The ego is a structure we need here in order to not walk in front of a bus.....a survival mechanism.  It is not meant to be worshiped and adored.......Of course, we need to love it.......for that is when it lets go......and becomes something way bigger......yes, the soul learns to fly.

The earth is a giant school for the soul.......we learn our lessons eventually.  What we learn......is love....for love is all that exists.  Every incarnation has a set of curriculum.  Every encounter, every relationship, every moment is on purpose for everyone and everything forever......incredibly cosmic and mind blowing this eternal miracle of life is. We are all learning to be better humans......more loving, more kind, more joyful, more accepting, less judgmental, more creative, more trusting.......more in tune with all the forces and energies of the universe.  Earth, air, fire, water, ether, light........and love....this is who we are.....forever.....it never ends.....there is no death.....just a change of form.......we are beyond form.....we are essence.

I have to go take some more mushrooms now (medicinal, unfortunately...he he).  Enjoy the world.......all you light filled beings!
?????????????  I doubt Jay would ever buy some speaker that takes a year to get.....let alone....who is going to buy it when he sells it in a few months?.......Jay coming to your house to listen to untreated CDs played on a stock Sony CD player....with an equalizer and zip cord?......If that happens....I will eat my shorts.....he he.  I do have those chocolate shorts....just in case.

I love you, you are worthy, you are magnificent.  Thank you for sharing your divine presence with all of us.

I remember when the first set of GT Audio Works speakers were shown.  They were something like $3500 the pair......with some small subs.....now they are $60K.  I am sure they are much better now....hopefully.....but just saying.  I know he was making nothing making these things at home so now he is trying to make serious money by having Steve help him......

The now is saturated with love and joy......please let yourself feel it and share it.  When you love someone else.....you heal yourself.

robc33,

Did you A/B/C all three of his amps there?....or maybe you need the most power? or?

I had Altec 511 horns in a three way speaker.....my first DIY speaker back in the 70s. That horn was super colored......every instrument sounded like a horn.....super ringy aluminum colored horn. I thought that all horns sounded that way till a little while later I was at a small stereo store in Berkeley where the guy had some K-horns set up and also had Quad Electrostats. We A/Bed the two and they were shockingly very similar.....with no "horn colorations". However, this set of K-horns was not stock. It was a nude version (unfinished) and had the tweeter mounted all the way in the rear on top of the midrange driver....essentially time. aligning the tweeter to the mids. The owner of the store told me that if he moved the tweeter back to its original position I would run out of the store it would sound so bad. Time aligning is important. I believe the JBL speakers are mid/high time aligned....or at least close. Damped super time aligned horn systems can sound outrageous. All current Klipsch speakers are NOT time aligned.....tweeter flush on front panel and midrange horn front edge also flush with front panel.....meaning the tweeter is WAY forward of the midrange. Not good for coherence and imaging. When I made my three way with the Altec horn the Electrovoice horn tweeter was right in the front....on top of the midrange horn. Dang speaker was so bright I was stuffing cotton in the mid horn and in front of the tweeter. Learned a lot since then.

Stay in the love and joy......remember your essence.  Be happy and at peace with yourself and others.

Every second we choose love or ego......every second. Love serves everyone. Ego serves survival of the body. We need to not step in front of a bus.....so a solid sense of self protection is necessary while in a body. However, the addiction to being a separate superior or inferior person (judging) does not bring happiness to anyone. If you are not in service to others with what you think, feel, say and do.....then you are serving your ego.

When you have REAL self esteem.....then you do not need to brag or tell everyone you are an expert. You know....that you really know nothing. Also the "I am no good" game is the same just the yin version. We are magnificent beyond belief.....but we don’t need to beat our chest to prove it. The sun radiates its light and warmth to us......for free. It does need our attention or Love to feel good about itself. It is goodness itself. When you live with the Sun in your heart, then you radiate it to all.....forever. We are that big....we are bigger. We care about everyone.

There is very little shared on this thread that really helps people. The number of audio products not reviewed here is a gazillion times more than what is reviewed. And what is reviewed cannot be bought by most people. So, who is getting served? What this thread is......is entertainment. Maybe a few people pick up a tip here and there if they are shopping in this price range. There is nothing wrong with entertainment. It can be fun. The best entertainment is the natural joy of the heart and soul. It is called following your HIGHEST excitment....or Bliss.

If you are always stating the same thing over and over again and no one wants to hear it or believe it or cares about it.....then you are pissing in the wind. No one is being served.

I have three reasons for posting:

1.....most importantly... is to let everyone know how incredible and amazing they are....to acknowledge people for their eternal beauty and sweetness. I still have work to do on being more sweet. I am sucking divine mothers tit right now always becoming more juicy and sweet.

2. ....to let people know they have a choice....between soul and ego.....so pointing out how the ego works and calling people on selfish behavior is part of being of service.....we are all mirrors for each other. We all lift each other up with praise and acknowledgment......but also let each other know when our zipper is down. I will do better in acknowledgment, I will.

3. To help people get better sound from their stereo system.....and tell them the good news that seriously great sound can be gotten for way less money than what is commonly known. Really great sound and music can transport you directly to heaven.......you all know that......we deserve good sound.

What are your motives for being here and posting? Take a look at your desires? Are they bringing you happiness? What is your highest Excitement? Mohammad Ali said......."I gained the world but did not get satisfaction......I got this disease to know that I am not number one....but that God is." God is Love.....Love is #1. We are all #1. There is nothing to prove.....Just be....be the love....be the joy. Peace.

The repetition of the truth......that we are magnificient can never be said enough. The lack of it is what creates ego......attachments to being right/wrong and all non love in the world.

The repetition of opinions about audio that is based in the ego (right/wrong game) is entirely different.

BTW.....ego is not self esteem. Ego is a false sense of separateness. Real self esteem is knowing that everyone is beautiful. Narcissus looked in the water and only saw his reflection.....this is ego. God looks at us and sees herself. Your soul is connected to all souls.......we are one. When I REALLY feel good about myself.....I want you (everyone) to succeed. Because, I am you.

Of course, many do not want to be called out of the dark cave of self doubt and into the light of truth and freedom. I will severly lessen my sermons......I have spoken it several times.......certainly.....if your heart is open......you heard it already. And if your heart is not that open then words will not usually open them. Come over here and I will hold you and rock you and kiss you and hug you......that will work better. Check out Amma.....the hugging saint.....watch her videos.....will move you to tears.

We are all obsessive......be obsessive about joy, love, peace and happiness. Whatever you put your mind on you become.......pretty darn simple.  The more intense the love feeling is the more you merge with the oject of love.....love everyone.....love everything....love every moment.....with all your passion....with all your joy.

Honestly......the whole mystery thing here is not honest....he he.  Why would you not reveal RIGHT AWAY when you got a component........what it is?  Could only be for one reason....MONEY......fear of loss of money or the ability to buy something down th road.......Mammon strikes again.   Is there another reason?  Please enlighten us.  It certainly serves no one ele that we do not know wht amp you used in the shootout........what server do you have?  Which one did you have?  We won't tell anyone....I promise.....he he.

If the goal is more stuff....or more toys....or more money......or more fame....or more attention.....or more whatever.....you can never get enough......for all this does not satisfy.

If your goal is more joy, more love, feeling better, making a difference in the world....following your heart......then following this goal will satisfy. What is your souls passion?....follow that.

I used to cruise down Colorado blvd. in Pasadena in the mid 60s in my 51 chevy with my friends as we sang along to the Stones....and banged on our tambourine.....listening of course to the stock AM radio in the car. We were in ecstasy. Watch children playing in the waves......watch people playing with their children....watch the waves....look at the miracle all around you. You have already arrived.....you are indeed blessed every second by the miracle of life.....everything is loving you....and always has.....it just needs to look this way so we have something to grow into........for we come here to forget our magnificence and then to remember.......and how we remember is through loving......for what we put out.....we get back. This is the law of love, the law of Karma, the law of manifesting/attraction.......Be honest and straightforward and loving in all you do......your life will be more and more blessed and so will everyone you touch.

This very moment is the most incredibly perfect and amazing moment that has ever existed in the entire history of the entire cosmos.........it is the only moment that exists.....it is now.  Please enjoy.....Be a smile millionaire.....it's free.

Its way more far out than that......it is your very essence.  You can breath it into your being with every breath.  Try this:  On the in breath you do Light....the next out breath you do love.....the next in breath you do joy....and the next out breath you do peace.  You don't just say it to yourself as you are breathing but you experience that quality as deeply as you can.  The more you feel that quality with each breath then the more you become that quality.  The possibilities are infinite.  You create your own reality by the quality of your thoughts, words spoken, feelings felt and actins done.  Try this exercise for 10 minutes.....with full concentration and full all out feelings.......will transform you.....imagine....doing this all day.... you would be so blissed out your mind would explode in ecstasy.  he he.....better than any drug.

There is nothing but God loving itself. So, if you are not treating everyone as your mother, lover, son, daughter, husband, and yes....God (whatever form you think that is).....then you are on a "withhold"....ie: You are withholding your beauty and love from them. When you feel your own intrinsic worth....then you also know that everyone is YOU........So, you love everyone.....as you love yourself.

There are many ways up the audio nirvana mountain. The way shown here is to spend upwards of $400,000 on stuff anyone can buy in a showroom. It certainly works for those with lots of money and don’t have the creative inclinations to look anywhere else. However, the average audiophile has maybe a $20,000+ stereo and there is not one single product they would use that is shown/promoted here....except maybe the Furutech outlets.

Here is an idea I have mentioned....but will share it again. Get a great full range driver (Lii Audio Silver 10s are $1200 a pair)......more than likely better would be the 10 inch Neo driver from Cube ($6500 the pair). Mount them on a damped open baffle with wings going back so you get bass to 40hz. On top, mount a super tweeter and xover with a single copper foil cap bypassed by smaller copper foil cap. Hardwire the wire from the amp directly to the voice coil wire of the full range driver (never been done in a commercial speaker) and directly to a mono block amp sitting direclty behind the speaker. The wire from the speaker voice coll to the amp (bare wire end for best sound.....no connector is best) would be better wire than what is inside the Focal speaker. You would not need to buy $27K speaker wires!!!!! The amps would be some super special 25 or more watts.......but not necessarily super expensive (see Cube Nenuphar thread for possiblilites). You would put a Bybee Quantum clarifier on the back of the magnet of the driver, use my Ground Enhancer on the negative pole of the driver and use my rf filter across the hot and ground (yes, I know.... a shameful plug.....we are talking $165 here for both items.....I am rolling in mulah selling these things....he he). The amps and wood and drivers and goodies.....would be way less than $20K (much, much less if you use the Lii Audio drivers). This combo would sound at least as good as the $140K Boulder amp, $20K Gryphon Cables and $70?K Focal speakers....from 100hz on up......of course, you could add woofers for a few thousand and have at least as good of bass as the almost $200K system.

If someone bullt such a system (my friend has one but is not so inclined) then they could start a thread and even a YouTube channel about their discoveries and the YouTube channel would have 100K subscibers within a month after they showed off how good it sounds.....because this is something that the average Audiophile would be interested in.

There is nothing wrong with $400,000 systems......anyone with the money can buy one. But it is not creative or innovative in any way.....expensive heavy toys....most of us cannot afford or lift. Most people who come here are window shoppers.....wishing they could afford such a thing.......However, you can afford the sound quality.....but you will not find the way up that mountain on this thread......maybe my hints will help you.

Be well and may peace be in your hearts.

They should give you one of these if you already bought the Select II........Any one know the pricing?.....the Select Digital Director is......let me guess.....$30K?...too low of a guess?.....Whatever it costs....I have to have one to go with my modded $400 SMSL DAC......ya baby! Jay just ordered one now.....you bet.

Actually, it probably is a noticeable upgrade......digital does indeed keep getting better......but at these prices....you can hire a band to play.

This is better than world peace.....I am so excited.....ha ha. Giant monkey coffins....giant amp boxes practically no one can lift, yet afford.....and now ??????

You can make bass cabinets.....and bi-amp usng inexpensive and light weight Class D amps with room eq. that will give state of the art incredible bass for practically nothing.

You can make high effeciency full range open baffle speakers with added super tweeters.....for next to nothing and use small amps to drive them. This combo will sound better than Jay’s amp/speaker wire/speaker combo.......with mono amps directly behind the open baffle speakers you hardwire from inside the amp directly to the voice coil wire on the speakers......this is a shorter/purer signal path than anything you can buy. Naturally, you would have Bybee Clarifiers on the full range driver, my Music Purifiers and Ground Enhancers, and a super dead baffle with diffraction control using felt.

Some people buy expensive standard "commercial street race cars"......and some people make hot rods with no limitaions....where nothing is compromised......BUT, you have to have the desire for the best and be creative.......if you just like buying and selling then you are limited to stock "non hot rods"

For those box lovers you might want to check out this review on 10 Audio where Jerry preferred the the Alta Audio speakers over the Magico S-1 MkII.

Of course, if I owned the Alta Audio speakers I would mod the heck out of them....they would sound way, way better......there is always more and more and more and more........to infinity......Enjoy the now .......it is all there is.....Love and Peace.

How something is done is just as important as the basic technology....There are electrostats with great sound and there are ribbons with great sound.....and there are ribbons and electrostats with just OK sound. Every single thing in front of the driver and the power supplies, etc.....all effect the sound. I have never seen an electrostatic speaker made well. The power supply to the stator is super critical. If you have a wall wart and some cheap voltage multiplier.....then you have crappy sound. You need a state of the art power supply for the stator......you need state of the art audio transformer.....same with a ribbon....you need to get rid of all the connections and hardwire all the parts together without ANY connectors.....this has never been done....that I know of. So, if all you have heard is 20 to 30 year old electrostats and ribbons done with the non tweak technology of its day then you have no idea what is possible today with total hot rodding. Are your electrostats stock? What power supply do you use?....what power cord to the power supply? and the wires? and the connectors? Older connectors are really bad. Make a state of the art separate power supply for the stators and hardwire everything with the latest super wire......then you will have some idea of what your speaker can do.....of course, you will need to re build the entire baffle/frame to reduce resonances and create bass slam and dynamics......and make a super base and feet to mount it. I know all this because I modded the original Quads and have also modded Soundlabs and Acoustats and Sanders Sound stats......they sound incredibly better with mods......and that was years ago.....with what I know now it would be mucho better. My friends brand new totally tweaked Apogee Duetta speakers ($20K with all the mods) gave me chills and goosebumps in the first ffew seconds.....they are that transparent.....incredible....in fact.........A stock old Apogee Duetta is good.....but this is a whole new world....They are power hogs however.  That is why I would go with the bi-amped woofers on the bottom and high effeciency full range open baffle with super tweeter on top........way less demanding and still super transparent.

Execution is way, way, way more important than any single "design concept". If you heard any new (or even your old) electrotstat or ribbon done to the max......you would cry and shiver in ecstasy.

The silver 8 speaker is not a two way.......it is a full range driver......and what you heard was deeply flawed......junk double binding posts, junk wire, etc.

Those drivers are $430 a pair plus shipping......Imagine what a pair mounted in a serious box or open baffle would sound like with no binidng posts (amp hardwired to voice coil on the speaker)........Bybee Quantum Purifiers on the magnet.....my Music Purifiers and Ground Enhancers mounted on the voice coil as well......The box/baffle material and super wire and all the above would cost less than $2K. Add supertweeters on top and woofs underneath to take it to another level.....still dirt cheap. You can finish your box/baffle any way you like......could be diamond dust coated.

Magico is NOT done to the max......

They use binding posts.....they veil the sound.....my plastic clamp system is way better. They use circuit boards for the xover.....they don’t even hardwire the parts together.....I don’t see any bypass caps on the xover. They use Mundorf wire....which is good, but even Mundorf now has better wire (copper Angelique).....they use push on connectors on the wires to the drivers.....they do not wire directly to the voice coil wires.......they do not time align the drivers....they do not use any diffraction control......Do they know about coil directivity? Are they using the coils in the sonically correct direction? (I know of no one talking about this and it makes a noticeable difference). Do they have Bybee Clarifiers on the magnets of all their drivers.....no......do they have my Music Purifiers on each driver along with my Ground Enhancers....no......

Sorry, I would fix all the above (and probably a ton of other stuff that I don’t know yet) before I said a Magico was an all out attempt at a box speaker. Yes, great drivers, great box....and good xover and execution.....that is all.......you fix everything I mention and your jaw will drop on the floor. It would kill most stock electrostats in every way. Totally tweaked electrostats? (never seen that yet)......now that is another story.

High end audio is not very tweak......the problem is there is not real race course. In hot rodding everyone knows how to get down the quarter mile the fastest.....everything is known. With audio.....very little is known and people are not sharing information.....The main problem is that every single thing you do affects the sound and most of what changes the sound CANNOT be measured.......so every manufacturer and end user is on their own to find out for themselves......what is correct and what is not. And since there are thousands of manufacturers and products and ALL of them only know a small portion of what can be known......well.....this is why every component sounds different......and why you have to spend countless hours and have super passion for finding the "most transparent" way to do something. Very few people have this one pointed passion.....whereas in hot rodding.....lots of people have this passion.....and the main reason is.......most everything is know....and shared......hot rods are incredibly simple compared to our stereo system.......so it takes a super sleuth to know anything.......

Most people who comment on forums have very little actual direct knowledge of how things work or what makes different sound..........they have limited knowledge and act like they actually know something.....and sometimes think they know everything. The ego will go to great lengths to define and defend. The trouble is, who we are is not definable........We are all one and infinite and eternal.....we are not these separate ego selves.......even our souls are part of oversouls and are really just another game we (as the oness) play.......But.......if we play the game with love and joy.....then everyone wins......we all win happiness.....which is our inherent nature.

You don't have to take what I say so personally.  There is nothing wrong with you or what you are doing......in fact, you are magnificent.    I was responding to vibers saying that the Magico speaker was done all out.........and, in my opinon, it is not all out......nor is any speaker, that I know of.  I know what I know from direct experience.  I state it to inform those that want to know.  Not very many on this thread can hear what I say.....this is why I just comment once a month of so.  However, there are those few people who are interested in serious hot rodding that appreciate my direct knowledge.

I am sure the Boulder is an incredible amp.......my point is always.....that there might be a cheaper and possibly better ways to do something.  The reason you need that kind of sophisticated high power is that you are using speakers that demand it.  If you bi amped using separate woofers with eq......then you could use high powered class D (like the amps you had from viber) to power the bass and use smaller cheaper mono blocks to power high effeciency speakers .....esp full range drivers mit super tweeters....and implement them in the ways I described.  As I said.....you could get sound quality equal to your amp/speaker wire/speaker combo for less than $20K total......yes, I believe that is true.  This is why I post......maybe someone will do this and be very happy.  You can be happy with $140K amps, 40K speaker wires and $70K speakers....for sure......but you can be just as happy for $20K total........and you could lift the components.

Sheep are people who blindy follow others.  I hope that is none of you.  Do not believe anyone. Trust your own experience.......be self realized.....try things on your own......there are lots of possibilities.....way more than mentioned on this thread or on any thread........it is infinite.....and so are you.....enjoy the ride.

The ego wants to fight, be right, put others down, compete, define and defend. The soul wants to inform, love and serve (it wants to feel good and have everyone feel good). The information I share needs no defense (it is simply my experience). I love you all. When you love yourself very deeply you will also love EVERYONE else......this is real self esteem. If you only love yourself as a separate being then it is just ego........Agape is every souls real goal....

"Bring me a higher love".

You are my pet.....You are my baby.....I am your pet.....I am your baby.

Imagine everyone treating everyone else as their pet or baby......there would be no violence........no war....no hatred....no ego.....just love....just love....just love

I worship you.

We are so beautful and worthy.......we are divine.

By the way, I no longer do mods......I sell $125 speaker rf filters, $40 speaker ground enhancers and do spiritual and audio counseling for $1 a minute. Not likely to make any money posting here. My knowledge is now your knowledge.....use it or not. drink it or not. enjoy or not.....love or not.....it is always your choice moment to moment to enjoy and use each moment for your upliftment or simply reject this moment as not serving your ego...,....your choice.....please choose love.

See you in a month or so with the next installment of:

You are beautiful, I love you, Thank you......OMG....it feels so good....YES.

Check out the Audiophile Junkie......he has lots of cool Youtube posts including this brand new one:  All four of the systems shown are in the same house.....a lot of Aries Cerat electronics here.

Life is beautiful and infinite.....want to cry?.....I did....watching this:

OK, I will stop.......now, back to your normal channel....filled with the glory of spending big bucks on stereo gear.

I don't need to show you anything or prove anything (it would not serve anyone).

What I know is real (my direct experience)......you have no idea of most of what I am talking about because you never did any super tweaking or DIYing.......so you do not know what hardwiring to a voice coil does.....or removing a binding post or spades.....or felting on the baffles....or moving drivers relative to another for time aligning.....you just do not know......and that is not a problem....I do not know what a Magico sounds like compared to a Focal.......SO.....your knowledge serves those that it serves (people with big bucks who just want to buy stuff).  My knowledge serves those it serves (those people interested in all out sound and want to tweak and make their own things).....We serve different people....I wish you great success helping and making money from those who want do to what you do.  I get nothing from informing others.....except the feeling of oneness and joy that I have shared my truth and maybe someone will use my knowledge for their own benefit.....My knowledge does not hurt your business.  People who want to buy expensive stuff are living in their own reality.....they want your info....

There are so many ways up the transparency mountain......besides the single driver with super tweeter game....there are all the cool horn systems:.....Stein, Aries Cerat, Cessaro, JBL, Avantgarde, Living Voice, Acapella, etc. etc. etc......and you can make your own horn speakers....really cheap...and mind blowing.  The guy at ZenWave is finishing a horn loaded speaker and from the looks of it (you can see stuff about this on audiocircle)....it is going to be incredible.   This is what I do.......I open the doors to more.....I open the doors to more.......you can go in......or you can play with the same old toys.  I am learning to get unstuck....more and more every day.   More....is more fun!  More is different!  More is who we are!....we are infinite.  Enjoy the ride.   it's forever.

Raising our vibration every day......feeling more and more connected to all that is and to everyone........telling the truth.....living the truth....

Don't fight.....celebrate!  There is so much to be thankful for.  Every single moment is a blessing beyond our imaginiation.

The truth serves everyone.  We are all welcome here.  BTW......the reviewer of the Yeti 400 above is now using a Yeti 1200 as well.....to power his Pass X250.8 amp.......he has it in a closet so he cannot hear the fan......he loves it.......of course, one Ecoflow Delta Pro would be way, way better than both those baby Goal Zeros.

Yes, all inverters will sound different.  Inverters are a kin to a class D amp....they synthesize a sine wave......and they then have a coil and a cap on the output to filter the noise......all coils and caps have a sound......all electronics have a sound.....and, as Jay mentioned....when you have a charger connected to the batteries....it degrades the sound.  i imagine the brand and type of batteries used will affect the sound as well.  However, i have never heard anyone using ANY inverter that was not blown away by the sound improvement and video improvement.

Back in the 90s I first played with the Exeltech inverters (first in the world with low distoriton sind wave inverters).....they were expensive.....even the 500 watter back in the mid 90s was $500.  Now you can get a 2000 watter for less than that.  I changed the caps on the output from some Panasonic caps to Wonder caps and it made a noticeable difference.  Of course, the jacks, wiring and everything make a difference.

Re, the difference between the two "Clean out my bank account Stroms".....he he: You don't just have a difference of battery capacity but current capacity ......meaning bigger and more parts in the large one......and some larger parts might not sound as good as smaller parts....and on and on to infinity.

You can buy a separate inverter and batteries and charger for $2K or less that will perform the same as the Stomtank.....maybe better. Stromtank is for those that have money to burn.

Please read this:.....sounded the same as the $20K Stomtank

http://enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/0119/Goal_Zero_Yeti_400_Lithium_Portable_Power_Station_Review.htm

The Goal Zero is good but the Ecoflow Delta Pro sounds way better......my friend is using one on his system.......soncially much better than the Yeti 3000.

The problem with commercial all in ones is that the fan will come on.....and we don’t want noise in our listening rooms. My friend has his Ecoflow in the next room over and runs a power cord through the wall.

The way around this is to use a separate 2-4K inverter.....separate batteries and charger......a low distoriton sine wave inverter plus 200 amp hours of batteries and charger will cost you $1000-$2500 depending to power needed and type of battery.

You will want to make sure your brand of inverter does not turn its fans on till using maybe half power. If you have a 3 thousand watt inverter.....then the fan will not come on unless you are drawing 1500 watt continuous......not likely in most audio system.

Even though inverters are incredible......they still produce noise. My friend is using the Puritan line filter ($2K) after the Ecoflow for even better sound. He also has a separate ground rod for his stereo and usies the Puritan ground filter and separate ground wires for most of his gear......incredibly low noise and super transparency.....for way, way less than the Stromtank.

The Stromtank may not be more transparent than a $1K inverter/battery/charger system........but Jay is correct......it is not plug and play.  You have to buy the separate units......and then have a timer so you will turn the charger on when needed and turn it off when you want to play again.  And you have to figure out which thangs to buy, etc.  However, you can get tons of batteries that would cost you way less than the Stromtank and it could play way longer than any Strom and handle even bigger amps than the Strom.......you just don't get the plug and play mode.......with intelligent battery charger/maintainer system built in.

The Ecoflow Delta Pro unit that is 3600 watts for $3.7K......is amazing sounding and it probably sounds better than a Stromtank........BUT, it has the problem of noise.....and it turns off your system for a micro second when going into charging modes....two downsides.........imagine if they were to fix those two minor problems......then you would have a universal audiophile inverter that is plug and play for less than $4k.  I hope some other company does this soon as most on this thread don't want something they have to fool with.  My tweaky friends have no problem with these minor issues.  I use the $450 Goal Zero modded so the fans never come on....with my front end.....and love it.....but I need a larger one to run my power amp as the baby one cannot handle the turn on surge of an amp.......you need at least a 2K inverter (4000 watt surge) for most systems that would include an amp.  When I get enough money.....I am going to buy one......as my amp is still running off the wall.....and that is not good.  Once you hear a great inverter.....and you are off the grid.....you cannot go back ot the distortion of the wall.....no matter what line conditioner you have......this is simply better......and if you don't mind a few minor issures......it is super cheap.

Here is a cheap inverter to experiment with:

Here is a cheap battery to use with it.

A 25 amp charger will set you back around $150.......so the above three are less than $700 delivered.......1200 watts of batter, a 2000 watt inverter with 3600 watt surge and a good charger.....have fun.

I don’t see how the output impedance of an inverter (AC power source) would have any effect on the input impedance of a power amp......but what do I know?

I don’t understand your suspicion.....I already said over and over and over again that every single thing changes the sound......there is no such thing as neutral power....just different flavors of things. As I said.....my friend uses the Puritan line filter after his inverter (which probably is cleaner than the Stromtank) to clean up the sound more.....and now we are going to change the AC sockets on the Puritan to improve the sound more.....what don’t you get? It all makes a difference....EVERYTHING!

Every single brand of inverter will sound different......every single version by every manufacturer will sound different...........just like amps, just like everything. So, who is going to buy 10-20 brands of 2000 watt plus inverters and test them all? And experiment with different brands of batteries and types? However, any low distortion sine wave inverter will improve your sound.....this is why you should try the cheap ones to get your feet wet.....this inverter thing is new to the world......not much info on the sonics of each one.....esp...since there is only one super expensive one made specifically for audiophiles......I hope there is competition soon as these things need not cost over $5K for even the biggest ones.......since you can already buy a 3500 watter that sounds outrageous for $3700.

Most audiophiles are not hot rodders....tweakers, etc....they want expensive plug and play. There is only one audiophile plug and play inverter.....all the rest are for hot rodders. Jay will never play hot rodding. He wants to have fun....have it easy and make some money.....nothing wrong with that.

Let it go......us hot rodders can have the fun of finding stuff really cheap and great. You are not a hot rodder.....that is why you want Jay to do it for you. I am going to email PS Audio about inverters....maybe they could get rid of their power regenerators and make cheaper inverter units that would beat the Stromtank for way less. This game has just begun......but for the hot rodders......the time is now....Here is a nice 5000 watt inverter that the fan will not come on till its drawing 1666 watts continuous..........so for most of you with even moster amps.....will never come on.....and also a 200 amp hour Lifepo battery to get you 2500 watts of power......2 batteries gets you 5000 watts of power......so much more than Strom. 5000 watt inverter and 5000 watts of super battery for $2400.......add a charger for $200 and you are good to go. Now how much is the 1000 watt Strom?.....something like $16K?

:

Theory is just talk. The only way to know something is to try it. I already stated that every inverter will sound different.....but that MOST any inverter will beat the wall or other conditioner.......If you read the review by Tom Lyle...you will realize he also had the $10K PS Audio power plant and that was beaten by the Stromtank and by the (equally as good as Stromtank) $450 Goal Zero. All in one units you can buy, like the Goal Zero, are not plug and play.....they have fans that come on. I use the Yeti 400 with all the covers off and the heat sensor underneath the battery disconnected.....fan never comes on.....the fact that the all in ones are totally enclosed is the main problem. It does not allow good heat dissapation. The all in ones are designed for outdoor use. My friend with the big Ecoflow has it in a separate room. Separate inverters are built out of aluminum and look like heat sink bricks....that is why they can run higher power without a fan coming on. You can put an all in one in the closet, in another room or mod it so the fan does not come on. The Yeti 400 will not power on an amp.....no matter how low of draw of power from the amp.....it does not have enough surge current capability.....so, it is only for front end components. This is why I am going to buy a separate more powerful inverter to run my whole system. I would say a 2000 watt inverter (4000 watt surge) is minimum to run a whole system.

So, who is going to buy an inverter, battery (or batteries) and charger and get way better sound? Anyone?......Is there a hot rodder out there in the world? It is certainly not a money problem for most reading this thread. (some of you have $3000 unused power cords sitting around collecting dust).......Is it a lack of desire for best sound attainable problem? Is it a looks problem?.....a space problem? A WAF problem?

Where there is a WILL....there is a way. Are you willing to be more happy today than yesterday? if so, how can you do it?.....and will you do it? Will I do it?

Follow up on inverter power:

1. I earlier mentioned that Tom Lyle found that a $450 Goal Zero Yeti 400 (400 watt capable) inverter sounded the same as the $16,000 Strom tank (he did not have them there side by side). He ended up buying a larger Yeti for his power amp. My friend with the super Agogee speakers bought the $3000 watt Goal Zero Yeti and was using that with the Puritan line filter after it along with the Puritan ground filter and his own grounding rod outside his listening room.

2. Then he bought the Ecoflow Pro inverter (3600 watts).....and then had better sound than the Goal Zero.......well, the Ecoflow broke....so he got another one and that one also broke so he took the Ecoflow back to Costco and got his money back......

3. He buys the Giandel 5000 watt inverter and two 200 amp hour Lifepo4 batteries (5000 watts worth) that I put links to on this thread and also a 40 amp charger.....the total cost is about $2700. He tried a 1400 watt heater and the fan never came on.....so it will never make a sound, so you can have this stuff right in the listening room. He turned on his stereo and played the internet radio to let his stereo warm up and it sounded horrible.......so he left it on all night with about 100 constant watts going and the next day dropped a needle on a record. He called me up and started raving like I have never...ever heard him.....I thought he was actually kidding me.......but he was serious. He has never heard anything like it in his life.....his enthusiasm was like Jay getting both the latest Boulder pre and amp combined......he is out of his mind. Everything is so much better. He finally listened to digital today and it was much better but not as noticeable as his vinyl playback....btw he is using that latest field coil cartridge with its tube power supply and further modded with extra caps on the power supply near the tonearm.

The total cost of his AC system with Puritan, Puritan ground filter and grounding stuff is around $5500. More than likely this kills the Stromtank and he can run his amps on it and so he is completely off the grid. You can add as many batteries to the system as you like and play for days, if you like. All you have to do is remember to hook up the charger when you stop listening and remove it when listening......pretty darn simple. Anyone who does not try this system has no idea how good their stereo can be. So now you know. He is going to post a review and include pics on Whats best.....so you can see his entire system. I will let you know when he does.

If you want to play cheaply you can buy the 2000 watt Giandel and a 100 amp hour car battery and have a 1250 watt capable inverter.......for around $600 total.....plus a charger....maybe you have have an old car battery sitting around......then just buy the inverter......of course, the 2000 watt inverter will probably not sound as good as the 5000 watter.....but, you never know.......and, of course. regular batteries might not sound as good as LifePo4s.......etc. But.....I bet you would love it.

If you really cared about how good the sound could be you would welcome new ideas. You only know what you have experienced. What if your stereo went to another level with what my friend did? You can certianly afford it. I am sure you could listen to all the above and return the stuff for a refund, if you do not like it. You don’t want better sound? Only what you know right now is good? Is selling Stromtanks more important than finding out the truth? They both use the same batteries and basic inverter technology. What if the above described system is way better than a Stromtank? Will you then sleep well at night knowing that you sold people something that was inferior because you wanted to make money? Maybe the Stromtank is way better?......maybe not  How will you know?....unless you listen.

There are those that read this thread that are more open than you. I am sure someone will try this and be mind blown......very little investment to find out and you can send it back for a refund. Why would the 1000 watt $16,000 Stromtank make better sound than the 5000 watt $2700 system listed above? The only person that can say which is better is those that have listened. We are in new territory here.......time for a change. Time to leave the past behind. Time to take a leap into the beauty of the now. I wish you much love and peace.

The facts are that no one knows much at all about this inverter thing (it is a new game). One fact is that Tom Lyle said the $450 Goal Zero sounded the same as the $16K Stromtank. Jay is INSINUATING that you have to spend BIG BUCKS (from him) to get great sound. It would be really funny if my suggested $2.7K 5000 watt system beats the $31K Stromtank 5000...............remember.....just remove a battery from one of your cars to test and buy the 2000 watt inverter for a little over $300.......this will give you an idea how the Giandel’s sound. If you like this then you can maybe buy the larger one (send the smaller one back for refund).....or just get some LifePO4 batteries for the one you have. This is just so easy to try without loss. The same LifePO4 batteries as the Stromtank and the same type of low distortion sine wave inverter......What have you got to lose? Oh MY.....what have you got to gain?!!!?.....could be magic.....could be magic....could be magic. "Got to believe we are magic.....nothing can stand in our way" We are magic. We are incredible. We deserve the best. Do you want the best? Or would you rather be right?

Most of you reading this cannot afford a $300 inverter or have the strength to remove a battery from your car.  Instead, please cash in some savings and buy a $31K inverter system (that weighs 255lbs). because it's German and has "Audiophile" written on the sides.......he he.  Are you knee jerking?  Can you take a joke?  Joy is every second......laugh at your self.....we are funny.

Are we just sheep or do we find out for ourselves what is really true?  I think we are all divine......we deserve to know what is true and to live by it.  What is true is that you are beautiful.....beyond your wildest imagination.  See the beauty within yourself.....see it in everyone....in everything....in every second.

When my friend’s Ecoflow went down the first time he plugged his system back into his dedicated line (still using the Puritan line filter, etc). He told me that anyone using the wall power has to be nuts.....it is just soooooooooooooooo bad.

A great inverter plus filter is amazing!

My friend stated that the bass and dynamics are through the roof....way better than the wall or anything.....he is using Parasound JC-1s and has Apogees that will clip an amp with a mere 400 watts into 4 ohms (his last amp). This 5000 watt inverter does 10,000 watt peaks. No current limiting....amazing bass with big ass amps.

One of the things my friend keeps telling me is "no one will believe you can run big power amps off this thing".......People.......this is a new game......a new paradigm....you simply have to try this to know anything.  This is simply way better than your superduper dedicated line.....way better.  You are completely off the grid......you are making your own power......from batteries.  Complete isolation from the AC noise and distortion.

Jay, why should anyone come to your house to prove something? You can spend $300 yourself and in one week know exactly what it sounds like using one or your batteries out of one of your cars. Will take you 20 minutes to hook up. You can send the inverter back fo a refund......but problably you will cry....knowing that what you heard just beat your $16K Strommy. Be real......stop defending your position.....the ego is not real.....only our eternal heart and soul is real. Find out for yourself what is real and what is not. Do you have the chutzpah to do that? Or would you rather just defend making money selling something that you have no idea of its relative worth? Be always in joy......this is our nature. Defending the ego brings no happiness.

Just finished the preliminary info......way more coming....this is exciting....and inexpensive. As people do what I suggest I will have pics of their systems and their comments as to the result. I have no doubt that this inverter system as shown plus the Puritan line filter would be way, way better than a Strommy........the whole package is around 6K (5000 watt inverter, 5000 watts of battery, better cables, Furutech outlet, charger).......A nice starter system would be a 2200 watt inverter, charger and one 200 amp 12V LifePo4 battery (2500 amp hours compared to 1000 amp hours of the Stomtank 1000) for around $1.5K. I will have pricing options on my site.....I am not making money doing this........just very excited to let the entire world know. I will be posting links to my page all over the universe.....you NEED to do this!

Inverter Power (tweakaudio.com)

Jay is talking about improving things with the Stromtank......I am talking about improving things with another inverter......how is that a non sequitur? The ego knows lots of ways to make things wrong. The heart knows INFINITE ways to make things right. Would you rather be right or loving?  No one "owns" a thread......Jay talks about all kinds of stuff not related to "amps".  All are welcome and the more information we share the more happy we are......do you want to be happy?

The ego defines and defends. Has anyone A/Bed a Stromtank with a Giandel/Puritan system.....of course not. But, I can interpolate.....since the $450 Yeti (according to Tom Lyle the reviewer) sounded the same as the $20K Strommy and since the Ecoflow sounded mucho better than a 3000 watt Yeti.....and the Giandel completly stomped the Ecoflow (according to my friend whom I trust).....I think there is good reason to celebrate. And then you add the Puritan? Read the reviews on the Puritan, by itself. Do you really want to learn and grow and have a better stereo....or do you just want to be right and defend your turf? Do you want eveyone to have the best stereo they can afford? Everyone!!!!!!????!!!!! So, how does this movie end? The movie never ends.....we are eternal. Love is all there is.....there is room here for everyone and everyones opinion.

I am sharing my joy......I want everyone to have better sound. I make NOTHING by posting this information.....I want you all to be happy. All you have to do is try it....then you have an idea for yourself whether I am just blowing hot air or maybe I am really helping you. Open your heart.....open your mind. Even if it is not reviewed in some magazine does not mean it does not have merit.......move outside your box.

I am so excited about this inverter thing......

Have you ever been so excited about something that you wanted to share it with everyone? What is so cool that the basic versions are so inexpensive and if you do not like it you can get a refund......for the inverters and the batteries.....what is there to lose......except your ego?

I did predict a technology (nothing that I was going to sell or would ever sell) that could take the place of almost all your equipment.....I do think it is still coming. We shall see. I did not say I had a product that was better than the Mephisto.....please, go back and look up what I said.

This inverter thing is real.....it is now....you can touch it, you can buy it, you can test it for yourself....this is not a prediction.....You need to defend your position or no one will buy your expensive Strommies......you have no idea if what my friend did is as good or way better or worse than a Strommy......it certainly is way less expensive and you can run a power amp on it and expand it to any amount of run time....all cheaply. You have so much money, you can for sure order the 5000 watt $900 Giandel inverter with money back gaurantee and hook it up to one or your car batteries and if it sucks then you know something. Right now, you know nothing. I know what my friend hears.....He is in heaven listening to his stereo with the pictured system. As my friend Sieg used to say....."it will all come out in the wash".......time will tell and it is not going to take much time.....I don’t mind being wrong about my feelings that the Giandel/Puritan is better than a Strommy (which is $16K and will not run a power amp.....the other is $6K and will). Will you mind if you are wrong about the Strommy? What if you are selling a way less good product for way more money? Don’t you want to know if you are giving your customers the best they can get for the money? Its just a frickin inverter! Why would a Strommy sound better than a Giandel? Because it is heavy/ German? costs more? The only thing that matters is how it performs. There will be those open people who will decide to try the inverter/battery/filter system i suggest......and then we will see what they say about the performance......all talk until then is just conjecture.

I wish you all blissful listening......to your soul and, of course, music.

As I stated above and on my website no one needs to lose money to try these things. The inverters, the batteries and also the Puritan filter are all sold with 30 day money back. And you can buy a $300 2200 watt inverter and remove a car battery from one of your cars to experiment. And then, if you do not like the inverter then send it back for a refund. I mean, how easy is that? You will not be sending them back.....you will hear within seconds the improvements.

Of course, the full monty system using the 5000 watt inverter, two 200 amp hour LifePo4 batteries, better battery cables, better Furutech outlet on the inverter, and good feet underneath the inverter, and using the Puritan line filter will sound much better than a 2200 watt inverter on your car battery......but you will get an idea.....and you can buy the full monty system for a little under $6K and get your money back, as well. What are you waiting for?....I give you permission....Mother says......YES, you may.......he he.

Yes, you still need great power cords from the Puritan to your equipment (unless you can afford and want a $145K Boulder preamp).

No, you do not need a dedicated line or fancy outlet......you are only using the house power to charge the batteries. There is no "overflow". You charge the batteries and then you disconnect the charger from the batteries when listening.....no connection what so ever with your normal house power. You are OFF THE GRID.

It will sound the same day and night, you will never have to worry about lightning blowing up your stereo.......but best of all, you will get the best sound out of your components......It will let your components shine! I will be adding more info daily on my site (like how to install your own ground rod dedicated to yoir stereo, etc,) and also I want my site to be a source of all things inverter.....so, as people try this I hope they will send me their findings and pics of their system so all can see and learn......as you know, a pic is worth a thousand words.....you can see by the pics on my site very clearly what my friend did......pretty frickin simple.

What a glorious day.....what a glorious moment shared with beautiful people (that’s you!). It is all good....God is so good he/she only needs one o.
