My Long List of Amplifiers and My Personal Review of Each!

So I have been in a long journey looking to find the best amplifiers for my martin logan montis. As you know, the match between an amplifier and speakers has to be a good "marriage" and needs to be blend exquisitely. Right now, I think I might have found the best sounding amplifier for martin logan. I have gone through approximately 34-36 amplifiers in the past 12 months. Some of these are:

Bryston ST, SST, SST2 series
NAD M25
PARASOUND HALO
PARASOUND CLASSIC
KRELL TAS
KRELL KAV 500
KRELL CHORUS
ROTEL RMB 1095
CLASSE CT 5300
CLASSE CA 2200
CLASSE CA 5200
MCINTOSH MC 205
CARY AUDIO CINEMA 7
OUTLAW AUDIO 755
LEXICON RX7
PASS LABS XA 30.8
BUTLER AUDIO 5150
ATI SIGNATURE SERIES 6005

With all that said, the amplifiers I mentioned above are the ones that in my opinion are worth mentioning. To make a long story short, there is NO 5 CHANNEL POWER AMP that sounds as good as a 3ch and 2ch amplifier combination. i have done both experiments and the truth is that YOU DO lose details and more channel separation, etc when you select a 5 channel power amplifier of any manufacturer.
My recollection of what each amp sounded like is as follows:

ATI SIGNATURE SERIES 6005 (great power and amazing soundstage. Very low noise floor, BUT this amplifiers NEEDS TO BE cranked up in order to fully enjoy it. If you like listening at low volume levels or somewhat moderate, you are wasting your time here. This amp won’t sound any different than many other brands out there at this volume. The bass is great, good highs although they are a bit bright for my taste)

NAD M25 (very smooth, powerful, but somewhat thin sounding as far as bass goes)
Bryston sst2(detailed, good soundstage, good power, but can be a little forward with certain speakers which could make them ear fatiguing at loud volumes)

Krell (fast sounding, nice bass attack, nice highs, but some detail does get lost with certain speakers)

rotel (good amp for the money, but too bright in my opinion)

cary audio (good sound overall, very musical, but it didn’t have enough oomph)

parasound halo (good detail, great bass, but it still holds back some background detail that i can hear in others)

lexicon (very laid back and smooth. huge power, but if you like more detail or crisper highs, this amp will disappoint you)

McIntosh mc205 (probably the worst multichannel amp given its price point. it was too thin sounding, had detail but lacked bass.

butler audio (good amplifier. very warm and smooth sweet sounding. i think for the money, this is a better amp than the parasound a51)

pass labs (very VERY musical with excellent bass control. You can listen to this for hours and hours without getting ear fatigue. however, it DOES NOT do well in home theater applications if all you have is a 2 channel set up for movies. The midrange gets somewhat "muddy" or very weak sounding that you find yourself trying to turn it up.

classe audio (best amplifier for multi channel applications. i simply COULDNT FIND a better multi channel amplifier PERIOD. IT has amazing smoothness, amazing power and good bass control although i would say krell has much better bass control)

Update: The reviews above were done in January 2015. Below is my newest update as of October 2016:

PS AUDIO BHK 300 MONOBLOCKS: Amazing amps. Tons of detail and really amazing midrange. the bass is amazing too, but the one thing i will say is that those of you with speakers efficiency of 87db and below you will not have all the "loudness" that you may want from time to time. These amps go into protection mode when using a speaker such as the Salon, but only at very loud levels. Maybe 97db and above. If you don’t listen to extreme crazy levels, these amps will please you in every way.

Plinius Odeon 7 channel amp: This is THE BEST multichannel amp i have ever owned. Far , but FAR SUPERIOR to any other multichannel amp i have owned. In my opinion it destroyed all of the multichannel amps i mentioned above and below. The Odeon is an amp that is in a different tier group and it is in a league of its own. Amazing bass, treble and it made my center channel sound more articulate than ever before. The voices where never scrambled with the action scenes. It just separated everything very nicely.

Theta Dreadnaught D: Good detailed amp. Looks very elegant, has a pleasant sound, but i found it a tad too bright for my taste. I thought it was also somewhat "thin" sounding lacking body to the music. could be that it is because it is class d?

Krell Duo 300: Good amp. Nice and detailed with enough power to handle most speakers out there. I found that it does have a very nice "3d" sound through my electrostatics. Nothing to fault here on this amp.
Mark Levinson 532H: Great 2 channel amp. Lots of detail, amazing midrange which is what Mark Levinson is known for. It sounds very holographic and will please those of you looking for more detail and a better midrange. As far as bass, it is there, but it is not going to give you the slam of a pass labs 350.5 or JC1s for example. It is great for those that appreciate classical music, instrumental, etc, but not those of you who love tons of deep bass.

 It is articulate sounding too
Krell 7200: Plenty of detail and enough power for most people. i found that my rear speakers contained more information after installed this amp. One thing that i hated is that you must use xlr cables with this amp or else you lose most of its sound performance when using RCA’s.

Krell 402e: Great amp. Very powerful and will handle any speaker you wish. Power is incredible and with great detail. That said, i didn’t get all the bass that most reviewers mentioned. I thought it was "ok" in regards to bass. It was there, but it didn’t slam me to my listening chair.

Bryston 4B3: Good amp with a complete sound. I think this amp is more laid back than the SST2 version. I think those of you who found the SST2 version of this amp a little too forward with your speakers will definitely benefit from this amp’s warmth. Bryston has gone towards the "warm" side in my opinion with their new SST3 series. As always, they are built like tanks. I wouldn’t call this amp tube-like, but rather closer to what the classe audio delta 2 series sound like which is on the warm side of things.

Parasound JC1s: Good powerful amps. Amazing low end punch (far superior bass than the 402e). This amp is the amp that i consider complete from top to bottom in regards to sound. Nothing is lacking other than perhaps a nicer chassis. Parasound needs to rework their external appearance when they introduce new amps. This amp would sell much more if it had a revised external appearance because the sound is a great bang for the money. It made my 800 Nautilus scream and slam. Again, amazing low end punch.

Simaudio W7: Good detailed amp. This amp reminds me a lot of the Mark Levinson 532h. Great detail and very articulate. I think this amp will go well with bookshelves that are ported in order to compensate for what it lacks when it comes to the bass. That doesn’t mean it has no bass, but when it is no Parasound JC1 either.
Pass labs 350.5: Wow, where do i begin? maybe my first time around with the xa30.8 wasn’t as special as it was with this monster 350.5. It is just SPECTACULAR sounding with my electrostatics. The bass was THE BEST BASS i have ever heard from ANY amp period. The only amp that comes close would be the jC1s. It made me check my settings to make sure the bass was not boosted and kept making my jaw drop each time i heard it. It totally destroyed the krell 402e in every regard. The krell sounded too "flat" when compared to this amp. This amp had amazing mirange with great detail up top. In my opinion, this amp is the best bang for the money. i loved this amp so much that i ended up buying the amp that follows below.

Pass labs 250.8: What can i say here. This is THE BEST STEREO AMP i have ever heard. This amp destroys all the amps i have listed above today to include the pass labs 350.5. It is a refined 350.5 amp. It has more 3d sound which is something the 350.5 lacked. It has a level of detail that i really have never experienced before and the bass was amazing as well. I really thought it was the most complete power amplifier i have ever heard HANDS DOWN. To me, this is a benchmark of an amplifier. This is the amp that others should be judged by. NOTHING is lacking and right now it is the #1 amplifier that i have ever owned.

My current amps are Mcintosh MC601s: i decided to give these 601s a try and they don’t disappoint. They have great detail, HUGE soundstage, MASSIVE power and great midrange/highs. The bass is great, but it is no pass labs 250.8 or 350.5. As far as looks, these are the best looking amps i have ever owned. No contest there. i gotta be honest with you all, i never bought mcintosh monos before because i wasn’t really "wowed" by the mc452, but it could have been also because at that time i was using a processor as a preamp which i no longer do. Today, i own the Mcintosh C1100 2 chassis tube preamp which sounds unbelievable. All the amps i just described above have been amps that i auditioned with the C1100 as a preamp. The MC601s sound great without a doubt, but i will say that if you are looking for THE BEST sound for the money, these would not be it. However, Mcintosh remains UNMATCHED when it comes to looks and also resale value. Every other amp above depreciates much faster than Mcintosh.

That said, my future purchase (when i can find a steal of a deal) will be the Pass labs 350.8. I am tempted to make a preliminary statement which is that i feel this amp could be THE BEST stereo amp under 30k dollars. Again, i will be able to say more and confirm once i own it. I hope this update can help you all in your buying decisions!

So guys, I removed 2 cabinets that were behind the panels And the highs are way different now. They have more detail and sparkle. Time... I’ve said it, seat time. Now I need to now get ready for the wife to come to me and go off that there are 2 cabinets in the middle of the living room that I need to put back where they were but I don’t know how to tell her I don’t want to... I may end up sleeping inside the crates of the Neoliths tonight.
@dguitarnut I coudnt have said it better myself.... been trying to say that you can’t expect for a Honda Civic to give you the same experience as a Bugatti veyron just because it can go 200 mph, it can go in reverse and make u turns. Just a totally different class and to your point, no speaker worth 10k can compete with speakers costing 4 times their price. Sure, it can show you how good it is given its price and also show you the law of diminishing returns in spades but nobody said that the extra money you spend is equivalent to the performance gained. They are not proportionate to each other.
Viber:
i can assure you there’s nothing slow about the 15 inch drivers in the Neolith. I have the best mid bass and low end oomph I’ve ever experienced from any of my former speakers. The Neolith has shown me how “not so good” the bass was from my previous speakers.
I bet you if I brought back the magico s5 or Sasha 2s right now and played some
reggae, I’d be wondering if the woofers were stolen out of the cabinets.

Let’s not forget, do you really think Martin Logan would use subpar/slow drivers that can not keep up with the panel in the their statement Neolith? I’m sure they thought about this in the 2 years that this speaker took to design.

Best mid-bass, deep bass, etc - you name it (in my room)

If anyone came into my room and heard the impact of this speaker, I’d have to shut your jaw. Could this be my favorite Magico? Time will answer this question, but make no mistake this speaker needs POWER. This leads me to my next point: why do manufacturers build big amps with huge power? Well, this speaker answers that question.

It should go without saying that being able to afford this speaker doesn't mean you are good to go. Make sure you have your ducks in a row when it comes to your electronics.

If you expect to climb mountain Everest wearing flip flops, sweat pants and a sweat shirt because you don't want to spend the money in the proper gear to suit up, you should stay away from the S7.

Greyhound,
i understand your point. That said, I don’t have any interest in tekton because once I’m tired of them, I’ll have to dump them with bulk trash in my neighborhood. I won’t be able to sell those things at all. Again, I don’t buy any brands that can be bought directly from the manufacturer. I don’t buy axiom, emotiva, svs, etc. Why ? Because I would be paying the same you, my dog, and everyone else pays for those things so once I’m done, No matter how good they are, they won’t be the last speaker i stay with. Sure, am I interested to hear them? Yes I am. Yes I know they do an in home trial but I’m not really the type to take advantage of that if I know all I want is to hear them with zero intentions of keeping them.

Ihasaguy: I don’t really have the space to store vinyl and although I would love to venture into thess types of recordings, it’s just not convenient enough for me

Techno: if you are looking for dynamic, slam, and easy to drive then look into Wilson. They don’t demand amplifiers like magicos. Wilson Sasha 2 would be a speaker I could own again and just add a sub in my room. Nothing startled me more in terms of dynamics more than Wilson did.
Techno: you can buy a Sasha 2 used for 18k-20k. It totally fits what you are looking for. The Sasha is far superior to the Sabrina due to the time alignment. There’s no lack of resolution with Sasha 2. It’s just a soft dome tweeter which are soft sounding tweeter and don’t sound as sparkly as anything focal does. That said, I can’t say anything bad about focal Sopra 3s. Very good speaker for the money. Wilson Sasha 2 just does something better which is the dynamics. Also, if you need more treble then use the Luxman preamp to get the highs you want out of the Sasha 2s. See why I keep telling you to try the Luxman 900u preamp? It would work fine with Wilson.
With that said, I am recommending you gear I’ve owned this year. This is not based on what he said/she said. I bet $ that Luxman preamp and amp would sound awesome with magico and Wilson. Lastly, Wilson audio sells you resistors that are an easy swap. With these resistors you can add more dB to the tweeter or midrange.  Think about how much flexibility you have here with the tone controls of the Luxman and the ability to swap resistors in the speakers which I said, a drunk person with his eyes closed can do.
Ok I’ve said it a million times here and here I go again:
for the money spent, it is hard as hell
to SIGNIFICANTLY improve on what Luxman brings to the table. Is there better? Hell yes but it won’t be a cheap move either. Remember, I’ve owned the Luxman 900u four different times. As a matter of fact, only the Rowland 925s with Luxman 900u preamp dropped my jaw even more because it sounded like
the Luxman combo but on steroids. That combo was spectacular, but how much more are those amps? $60k..
If any of you have followed my thread and want to spend the best 18-20k in a used amp and preamp then buy the Luxman 900u combo. You have an intoxicating, huge soundstage that will impress you.
Hell, my Rowland 925 buyer told me the other day if he ever downsizes he will go back to the Luxman 900u combo. Enough said.
Just the audioquest dragon zero speaker cables break-in happening. Nothing else has really changed. Merrill Audio Christine still in the mix.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who contribute on my thread and those who follow it. I never thought this thread would come this far.
In order to lighten the mood, here are a few non-audio related facts about me:

11. i don’t believe in saving every dime i make in order to be better tomorrow because tomorrow may never come so living today while still planning for tomorrow is key.

there you have it!
Well guys,
If all goes well, we might be reviewing another top end dac soon. I can't say too much but it will be a great move for me. I am also receiving a pair of Monos next week which some of you might be really interested in. Stay tuned :)
Viber, I did use the amp section with my ref10 and it did give the speakers more glow and detail.
@wesc thank you for posting here and following my journey. I will be revisiting some amplifiers from the past just to see how they will do with my Neoliths. For instance, I have a Plinius sa103 coming next week because I want to see how it does with my Neolith. I want to try class a with them.
I wish my room was as big as yours wesc. Lovely room you got !
Keep following my journey because it’s going to get better and better. Yes I know some people will have their opinion, but I respectfully either agree or disagree with what anyone says.
At the end of the day, everyone should just sit and watch my struggles and wins because YOU NEVER KNOW when you’ll be able to purchase some of this stuff and actually bring it to your own home.

Stay tuned for my impressions of the Plinius 103 with my neoltihs !
@greginn Thanks for your comments. As far as the Diablo vs Luxman 509x, yes I said that it really depends on the speaker. I personally think the Luxman is just incredible for the money spent. That said, the integrated will give you a lot of the 900u combo and I could even say it’s just as good unless you have hungry speakers.
By going from the Diablo to the Luxman you give up muscularity and gain mids with more sweetness. You also gain more musicality that makes you not want to get off your seat. Both are outstanding pieces.

@ron17 the Plinius sa103 will have class a in the mix which is why I bought it and maybe eventually I will get a second one. I also didn’t see a sb301
don't miss part 1 of a 2 part series today at 12pm ET. You get to hear Mike (Suncoast Audio) talk about the M6 and also which set up he preferred!
So I spent the last 3-4 hours setting the neoltihs. I’m going to say I now have the speaker I thought I had in my hands all
along. Huge improvement is an understatement. Speakers are now sounding massive with THE BEST IMAGING I’ve ever heard here. This is the first time I can hear things happening in songs I had heard about 3,000 times. Instruments actually walk across the stage from speaker to speaker. Things move left to right in songs that I thought this same instrument was being played by both speakers before and it turns out that this isn’t the case.
Speakers are 59.5 inches from the front wall (measuring from the center of the panel) and they are about 46 inches away from the sidewalls (measuring from center of the panel). I essentially brought them in almost a foot inward so they are now about 5.5-6ft apart (measuring from the inside of cabinet). I actually did not want to do this when I first put them in the room because I thought they needed to be as far as possible from each other in order to not hurt the imaging. Well, I learned something new today; these monsters work just fine in a mid size room and although I could have made my life easier by buying renaissance, I wouldn’t have the massive slam, dynamics and midbass from these Neolith.
What do you get by buying neoltihs that you don’t get with the clx or 15a? DYNAMICS, MID BASS and FAR BETTER woofer and panel integration.
I rather take the Hegel H30 over the pass 350.8. Sorry to do this to Nelson but he dropped the ball with the 350.8. I rather own the 350.5. More musicality and sweetness. The Hegel H30 beats both and it does it quite easily. Whatever pass labs is going to do next to replace the .8 series they need to truly think hard and long because I feel that the .8 series was a failure. I’m pretty much mentally retired from the .8 series from pass. Ain’t a d@mn thing I like about it. Luxman 900u mops and sweeps the floor with the 350.8. Actually, the Luxman 900u demolishes the 350.8 in every single area.
@wesc the Neoliths are all passive. No built in amps inside of any kind so the amplifier needs to drive the entire speaker. Yes if you go to their site you’ll see the Neolith drops to .5 ohm at 20khz. This is needed regardless of the volume level. The amplifier receives the load throughout the entire frequency range. The only way the speaker won’t drop to .5ohm is if you play music that does not have any frequencies at 20khz.
Not sure why you would want more bass than what the Sasha's have ...my DAW have tremendous bass but I am using great amps...
Breaking news... someone who reads my thread daily has just joined the Neolith club
:)
Neolith is a special speaker but I feel like it needs to be understood and really given the opportunity to let you see what it can do. It’s just NOT the speaker you can just do “plug and play” and that’s it. It’s just too honest of a speaker that will tell you how “sh1tty” your front end is. I am actually beginning to think that after amplifiers I will begin to hunt down dcs for a source.
Tomorrow the Plinius sa103 arrives and it will be strapped to the ref10 so it will be one interesting experiment. Hell, I might buy another Plinius and see how much better it will be in mono with 400 watts class a per channel.
Planning on it. This is the first time I’ve had to wait and I’ve got zero amps I could use. Jeez.... I always have 3-4 amps on hand.
Thanks RIAA.  I have been curious about trying DCS because it is supposed to be great but I won’t know until I try it. I hear from several sources that MSB is awesome but I’ve not looked at pricing. I will certainly try to see if I can find a deal on one and go from there.
Plinius sa103 arrives today to see what it does for my system with the ref10.
Ive got an interesting question for you all,
what would be better, my momentum integrated or a Dag progression stereo amp with my ref 10? I’ve got my own opinion but I wanted everyone to chime in.
Let’s hear your opinion
@denon1 yes I’m thinking of selling it so I can explore other sources. No other reason why other than I have to sell it in order to move up the ladder.
Right now I have ideas but I have to be methodical. The Neoliths swallowed a lot of the budget which leaves me less cash to buy multiple amps at once.
Look,
im only reporting by what I’m hearing here. Yes, the sa103/ref10 give you far more oomph and crazy detail and the mids are un-freaking-real. I mean a deaf person can hear the difference. I suspect a second Plinius will be put on order. For now, I can confirm that with my Neoliths the momentum integrated has not outperformed the Plinius sa103/ref10.
With other speakers it may be a different story (Wilson, magico, who knows).

This puts something in perspective which I’ve said before here on this thread: tubes and class a are the best amps for panels. I’ve said it here before and today I followed my own advice and look. I’m actually thinking: why would I want to spend 20k in a pair of Luxman if the sound is impressive right now with little money ?
Breaking news: the ref10/ Plinius sa103 have made my jaw hit the ground. Wow, a big WOWWWWW. My lord, this is far ahead of what the momentum was doing with my Neolith. I guess I know a thing or 2 about amps? ;)

@ricred1 yep we are.... so far, I’d say both integrateds were good but the tube/class a combo just totally elevated everything.
The Dag integrated sounds warm with Logans with no controls engaged. The ref10/Plinius is not as warm and no Plinius is far from being warm. I’d say it’s a little on the forward side of things, but just a little.
Of course I’m sure if I spent more money on amps then the Neolith will sound even better but right now I want to just enjoy this amp and get fully acquainted with it then I’ll slowly introduce another amp or a second Plinius. For the money, the Plinius 103 is a damn steal though. It’s really robbery scene from the movie heat.
A couple of updates:
well things are crazy busy right now. I have the following coming this week:
1. A pair of monos that i have previously owned
2. A JVC NX7 projector that replaces my epson 6050
3. Audience XLR's on trial from a dealer
4. Valhalla 2 XLRs to use from my dac into my preamp
5. A brand of XLRs that are supposed to rival Nordost Odin1.

With that said, i believe i am approaching the end of my run with the best dac i have personally owned: DCS Vivaldi. I am in the middle of finalizing something that will send it to a new home and which will allow me to play with the Rossini DAC with the matching Rossini clock for a little bit until i zoom in on the next DAC which i have not selected yet. Possibly MSB? EMM Labs? no clue yet.
I am also having thoughts in my head that i might be coming up on the end of my run with the Gryphon Colosseum. This thought is tough for me to think about, but once my mind begins to tell me things, it usually ends up in me doing exactly just that.

On top of all of that, i have yet to give my momentums a full battle vs the Luxman preamp/Gryphon.  SO MUCH GOING ON !
Greyhound: this is what system matching is about. The Dag didn’t really match quite well with the Neoliths and what they needed but this might not be the truth with the Wilson’s. I actually remember hearing this same ref10 with a boulder 2060 and some expensive rockports speakers and the ref10 sounded awful with that combo. I actually liked the dcs Rossini as a preamp better in that set up which is what he ended up doing. In this case, it’s clear that I should be only pursuing class a and tube amps and I’ll be doing just that or perhaps revisit the Belcanto black system which I was also told it was quite good with these speakers.
So far I’ve listened to gryphon Diablo 300, momentum integrated and ref10/Plinius sa103. The latter is superior than the first 2. Bolder mids, bigger soundstage and more sledge hammer bottom end. More sparkle as well. As I said to one of my connections, I’m shocked at how good this sounds as a combo and yet the amp is nowhere near as expensive as some of the amps I’ve owned before. This amp really turned me upside down And what makes it more interesting is that it wasn’t a ton of money. Of course I’ll try more amps so I can see how much more these neoltihs have in the tank; it’s almost a must do for me with a speaker like this. Having the Neolith and not trying different amps is like having a race car and not driving it at 190mph. It’s just a waste not to do it.
I tried the ref10 with the momentum integrated by using the home theater pass through input on the mometum and it was a little better than its own preamp but it was nowhere near the Plinius/ref10. Not even close.
@techno_dude I’d say that the electrostics give you a “spooky” feeling when set up properly due to their dipole design. Things seem to spread more so that does give you the illusion of more air because it is using the room to create a larger picture.
When I started this journey, I selected panels first and then over the years I converted to awesome woofer/tweeter speakers. If I am a person that does home theater and music evenly, I’d choose a Wilson or a focal anyday over an electrostatic. The dynamics are a must have in home theater and unless you’re getting neoltihs all around your room for home theater, I don’t see any home theater with electrostatics Beating a Wilson or a focal set up. If your priority is music, specially instruments, it’s hard as hell to best a panel. The only pain is setting them up and being patient.
What I love about panels is that you can sit for hours and hours listening and you don’t really get any fatigue.

I’m in talks to bring a gryphon amplifier from Europe. Domestic dealers don’t discount gryphon so I have to look in another continent to buy it for a deal even if it’s 220v.
I actually plan to try many more amps in 2019 with these speakers.
Some of you have messaged me asking me to try your personal amps with my neoltihs so that may come to fruition but do you want me to post my impressions here or just tell you via private messages?
Man I really regret selling those 200.5 Monos.... that amp could have been magical at this time.
@yyzsantabarbara I’m very happy I could be of help with your speaker placement. This is what I want for dividends.
Impressions: based on the manual for the Plinius, they recommend you don’t do critical listening until about 24hours after the amp has been idling.  I just turned my ref10 on after leaving the Plinius on for 2 days straight. The level of clarity and crispness is the best I’ve heard since I’ve owned the Neoliths. Crispness, detail, nothing is over exaggerated. Crazy to say the least. What will the block audio Monos do with 200 watts pure class a power? Will they come and make me feel in pure bliss? Will they grab the 1st spot ? Stay tuned :)
Here’s the set up:
Two 20 amp outlets
MacBook laptop with roon and tidal
esoteric k1 sacd/dac
audio research reference 10
plinius sa103
ps audio p20
wire world eclipse 8 xlr (preamp to amp)
wireworld platinum 7 usb
wireworld silver 7 power cords throughout
Wireworld platinum 7 xlr ( dac To preamp)
wireword platinum 7 speaker cable
Martin Logan Neolith

DYNAMICS: excellent for an electrostatic and the Plinius totally elevated this category

SOUNDSTAGE: big as a house when the recording calls for it

DETAIL: not overly detailed or warm. It feels just right with enough detail to keep you in your seat until dawn.

BASS: THE BEST BASS IVE OWNED FROM ANY OTHER SPEAKER PERIOD. The rest were mediocre in comparison with the exception of the vivid audio G1

IMAGING: a level of separation that it almost feel as if each speaker is playing their own tune and at their own pace. Nothing gets blended between both speakers. They make instruments walk across from speaker to speaker in an incredible way.

Mids: big, bold, beautiful.

Music genres: it plays everything incredibly well. Electronic music sounds fast paced with awesome slam. Guitars, pianos etc hace increíble decay. Rock? Long gone are those days when panels couldn’t do rock well.

@mrdecibel what I meant was that nothing gets blended or scrambled between the speakers even if they are massive and my room isn’t huge. They still separate the instruments and create a vivid image of what is happening on both sides of the stage. There were songs where I thought a certain trumpet or piano was being played from both speakers and then I come to realiaze from the Neoliths that it isn’t the case but rather it’s coming from the left and then it shifts to the right and then back to the left. Things like that occur constantly with different songs that I thought I knew.
Block audio will hopefully land next week. Over 2 months to be able to see these in person. I will see if indeed they offer “rolled off” high frequencies. I was having a discussion yesterday about what is the best amp under 10k (used market value) and man that’s a tough one. Right now all I can think of:
Plinius sa103
hegel h30
Simaudio 860a

the Hegel h30 would be better for a speaker like the revel salon and the Plinius for electrostatics or Ribbon. Simaudio is awesome with Dynaudio and monitor audio. I’m sure there’s an amp I’m missing
