Mac Mini Server

Looking to repurpose a late model Intel Core i5 Mac Mini as a headless music and streaming server with app control then try one of the Audioquest USB DACs. Reply if you have experience to share that doesn’t involve many extra mods?

I would think I would rather just get a Wiim Ultra https://wiimhome.com/wiimultra/overview and not have to worry about it.
