Looking to Develop A Short List For An Interconnect

I have two amplifiers here, they sound a bit different. Pre-amplifier is a Trinnov Amethyst.

First amp is a Matrix Audio MA-1 and its quite interesting. Reminds me a lot of my Classe Omega I have owned. A bit lean in the mids and a bit vibrant in the top end. I enjoy listening to them, my JBL 4367 sound like electrostats. But the mid band is lean. I use a pair of Wireworld Silver Eclipse 10 XLR interconnects between amp and pre.  Problem is I do not own this amp.

The second amp is a Constellation Audio Inspiration 1.0, which I have recently acquired. This is supposed to be my long term amplifier, so the one I need to work with. I find it quite a bit darker and richer than the Matrix amplifier. From what I had read of the Constellation amplifier, this rich tube like presentation is not expected. So far the best sound I have gotten with it is with a pair of Wireworld Gold Eclipse 8 I have.

So I am looking to develop a short list of interconnects to explore. I want something that is a degree or two more upfront and energetic than the Wireworld. Ideally I will go to the used market so that I can buy and sell if needed. But new is not out of the question.

I have wondered about Nordost, maybe some of the upper level Kimber. But any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Also have been looking at some of the Stereovox SEI-600, but those have to come off the used market of course.

@pindac

I am wanting to add a bit of energy and presence into the upper registers. The mids are lovely, almost tube like, which surprise me. I have the Matrix hooked up this morning, and it would be nice to shade the Constellation this way, but not all the way. The Constellation excels at texture, harmonic texture, and acoustic density. But the top end...in this system is just a bit recessed and does not have the pure transparency I would like to hear. The sound of the amplifier is not at McIntosh level of warmth, but perhaps more like typical Levinson.  Hope that explanation gives a better insight of what things are like here.

To date I have been an advocate for quite a few years of Signal Wire being PC Triple C, or D.U.C.C.

These Wires have a common Trait that are very attractive, being they are not noticeably interfering with the content of the info contained within the sent signal, it is not adulterated in any way as a result if transferring through the Wire.

The next has been proven to be ubiquitous if the info gathered is based on approx' 12 Systems.

PC Triple C from my assessments of comparisons is able to make OCC Copper sound muddied and obscure. PC Triple C is going to make the insight to the End Sound much more real and will add clarity and a sense of expansion of the Sound Stage, the Horizon of the Sound will go back further.

D.U.C.C gives the impression the muddied OCC perception of the End Sound produced, has now been produced as exact as should be. D.U.C.C is the anti thesis of Triple C, in that the Rich Tone that is far from overbearing, is noticeable for it subtleness but being present and very clear not coloured.

More recent experiences has shown chassis connectors in conjunction with Cable Termination will have a substantial impact on the End Sound, in some cases to the point the changes are seemingly like devices are exchanged for something much improved.

Mitsubishi are D.U.C.C producers, they are launching a New Wire, it is known to be their best to date? It is not known if it is to supersede the last design for wire.

You didn't mention a price so without that factor there are many options.

I would investigate the Audience Front Row as those are highly regarded and seem have that energy you are looking for. Their Studio One series is similar with  somewhat reduced price and performance, still very good. But to me the Front Row is worth the difference.

I also hear great things about the Veritas Cables Argentum R, a pure silver cable that many here enjoy. I will definitely add these to one of my systems soon, their speaker cables and AES/EBU cable that I have blow me away. Excellent value too.

The Audioquest Black Beauty is worth a look. I heard some recently and thought it was one of the better of the recent Audioquest designs. Really dynamic and great vocal projection.

Lastly I believe Acrolink cables would tend to fit the signature you are looking for. They are a little harder to find though not impossible. The more affordable lines are pretty smooth so maybe too dark for what you want. As you move to the upper mid and top models they have that exact signature, I guess similar to the Audience Front Row. A really great sound in the right system.
