Looking for a new speaker. Wilson Maxx II ??

OK I don't want to start a flame war. I know you either love Wilson speakers or you hate them. I'm in the market for a pair of speakers. I have a dedicated room that is 19W x 25L x 10H. I'm looking for a pair of speakers I can keep for a bit so I am going to lay out some hard earned cash. With this being said I have listened to a pair of Wilson Maxx II a couple of times and they are quite nice. I feel I need to compare them to other speakers in the same category. Any suggestions on speakers I should listen too before making my decision?

TIDAL Audio has some very nice offerings. The Contriva, Contriva Diacera and the Piano Diacera would all be in that same price range.

I agree with the VR-7 suggestion. The new 7s were reportedly built to compete with the Wilson Alexandria, which costs 125k! I know someone who's heard both, and according to him, the comparison isn't nearly as absurd as it sounds. If you can stretch to the VR-9s--which I and several other 'Goners own--even better. I compared the 9s to the Maxx 2s, and my decision was an easy one. The VSAs are pretty special.

from reading your other threads it looks like you need to make up your mind about your amps first...lots of people took time to answer them yet you never let them know which route you took.
