Linn users, what is your preference for your platter mat?

I am a recent purchaser of a Linn LP12. It's an older version, has Cirkus bearing and I think the first Lingo version. Has Ekos arm. Came with Linn Karma cartridge, which is also quite old. I am listening to it and am very pleased so far. The mat that came with it is black felt and looks new. Is there anything wrong with these felt mats? Had the same on an AR TT, it got old and frayed so replaced with a rubber one but it seems to produce a lot of static. Wondering what other Linn users prefer. Thanks.

To my ear, the Herbie's Audio Way Excellent turntable mat is a clear upgrade to the felt mat. I now use a graphite mat on my #1 table and just ordered the Origin Live Strata mat. Both are more expensive than the Herbie's which, is the "bang for the buck" choice.

Can you tell me what the Herbies or the others do for you that is an advantage over the felt? Only problem I see with the felt is that it is somewhat loose and on occasion will stick to a record. It seems pretty good about not building static, which I find with the plastic/rubber types.
