just wanted to share my fix for making my speakers cat and grand kid proof!

you can get black chicken  wire ( and other colors ) fr hardware store and easily make theses and prob do a better job than i did it is virtually acousticly transparent. this really works and we love our 15 cats all recues , mostly tamed formerly ferals
ferals are best pets ! smart , strong like to play  . loyal , will bond amazingly well No photo description available.

An electric fence energizer to the wire cage would add a layer of deterrence. 😱

I've found this to be extremely effective and as a bonus it waters the Shag carpeting in our living room when activated.

I just got another cat that thinks the whole house belongs to her unlike my last one that didn't bother anything so I can relate to this thread.

Good idea as the only I could come up with so far is putting black garbage bags over the speakers that looks like crap but she hasn't touched them since I did.

Just buy speakers with the metal grills. That was one of the reasons I went with the SVS subs.

Chicken wire won’t stop a finger poking 3 year old. Use Hardware Cloth instead.

Exactly, not even 1 year old like my son done on my ML twenty-five years ago.
