Info on ADS M12/90

I'm wanting to purchase a pr. of the M12/90's but, I haven't been able to find any info on them.I did the Google thing.I'm looking to find out the sensitivity and some frequency response info.

Any one heard these and if so can you relate what your impression was/is.

Thanks

Oops, forgot about impressions.

I really liked the sound of these, pretty smooth highs with tight, but not boomy bass. Depending on the type of music you prefer, even though they claim 34 Hz on the low end, it didn't really seem like it. It could be because they were so tight, it gave the impression of not being very boomy. At the time I was listening to a lot of rock and R&B and was very bass happy at the time. With classical and blues they were very pleasant and clean sounding. I still like them very much, and will soon integrate them into my HT.

The one thing to watch out for with these, and they are so known for it they actually call it the 'a/d/s Death Rattle.' I had the woofers replaced once under warranty, and they are rattling again and need a recone. Richard So is a very good source, he was a a/d/s employee and purchased all remaining parts stock apparently. I just haven't sent them yet due to I have no clue how to send them safely. I have a local repair shop that claims to rebuild a/d/s to stock specs. It can get pricey as there are 4 woofers, plus shipping to Az (where So is) could get spendy, probably close to if not more then what the speakers may be worth. They are great sounding speakers however, so I will have them done locally as I could not get speakers as good sounding for the price of a rebuild. They were about $2,000 new. I have the brochure, I could copy it and mail it if you'd like.

Harley, if you're looking at the pair for sale here on Audiogon, have you asked the seller what he knows about the speakers, and specs, etc.?
