How about Revel Gem Amplification?

Currently, I am using a CJ Premier 11a and have been considering two completely different paths - vertically biamping the Gems with another 11a, or going a monoblock SS route (perhaps the Edge G8+?). Reason for the switch (avoid the uncertainty with tubes, aging, microphonics, etc, and hoping for an ss that is at least as enjoyable - why is this so elusive?) Suggestions, especially from those familiar with this speaker would be great.

If anyone has compared the Gems to the new Wilson Audio Duette monitors - please comment.

Oh, I am also using a Revel B15a sub, active Placette preamp, and Simaudio Eclipse CDP, with Harmonic Technology Prosilway IIIs all around (well, almost), HT Pro 9 biwire speaker cable, and Shunyate Hydras and PCs. Thanks for the help.

Try a pair of Bel canto E One 1000 digital amps, bel canto DAC3 for you D/A
source conversion, CD, SACD, DVD audio, cable TV, run that through a good 6sn7 tube based preamp with teflon or mundorf silver gold capacitor upgrades and its nirvana, Bel canto is a former triod amp firm. the DAC3 can also funtion as a stand alone preamp. read the six moons audio review on the amps and the older DAC3.
Just an opinion
