High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz

In December 2011,I wrote that High Fidelity cables led by cable designer Rick Schultz was putting together a new cable. The cable came to market as CT-1.The CT-1 has FINALLY made it into my system!I had obtained a version of the prototype that Rick had been working on.It blew my previous reference Genesis by Virtual Dynamics.I thought I had finally found my end with this cable. This prototype delivered to my ears "Nirvana".Could I be at the end of my quest for the ultimate sound?
No. I received two pairs of CT-1 to replace my prototypes. They went into the system this past Friday.Unable to dedicate time until Sunday listening,I stole a few moments, ducking away from company with anticipation. My guest could tell even with the music set for"ambiance"something was intriguing and I was in for a treat!
The experience:
First off,CT-1 was very user friendly.Installation was simple;the cable is very nice and light. The female RCA fit beautifully unlike any I had found in other cable. It was secure and reliable. It seemed much thought was dedicated to developing a designer fit to an aesthetically stunning RCA connector.Install entailed a few wiggles to ensure what seemed like a compression fit on my RCA.
It was 2-3 hrs. for the 1st step of break in to be complete. At that point I had something different!Today, although they only have 10-12 hrs. on them,I can`t put into words how much my system has transformed.Believe me,I loved my prototypes.However....there is simply no comparision.
The clarity and sound is so natural.
The soundstage is like nothing I ever heard.Resoulution is breathtaking and inner detail is simply hard to believe possible.
The sound has transended and now it simply does not seem as thought I have speakers.
My system is musicians playing music.
I am told with time they will improve and I trust that as it was revealed with the prototypes.I wanted to share my thoughts with you that now.
Unequivocally,a testament to High Fidelity,as the name declares.
High Fidelity Cables for me,the last word on it,after 12 hours!
Truly Amazing

UR cables are singing sweetly in my system with 48 hrs of playtime.
My Ultimate Reference Speaker cables are already surprisingly superior
to the Ultimates in two days. since the UR takes 600 - 1000hrs to really show what they can do, I have confidence they will reach Shockingly Superior in due time. Image, bass and realism were the best I've ever heard with the HF Ultimates. I/we were awed by how much more is possible, buy how much more the Ultimate Reference delivers!! Wow!
High Fidelity Cable products have been a wonderful ride so far. Opening up new vistas in "life like" re-production with every upgrade. Each step a re education in amazing. The UR cables are again, so superior to their predecessor that I need time to comprehend such a huge alteration. Perception questioned, then redefined as the Ultimate Reference are not merely way better then the Ultimates, the UR's are a different universe…or heaven!
Thank you Rick
Snook2, My first Ultimate to Ultimate Reference comparison here was
exchanging MY U digital from CD to integrated amp. I was using Ultimate Speaker Cables at the time. Also one of Ricks power filters
(UR-Magnetic Waveguide Power Conditioner) which is a HUGE game changer by itself. HUGE!
"I digress"……. The UR digital was a picture window into
audio reproduction with so much more depth and shape and solidity to the soundstage, and so much more natural- real sounding i have not looked back. I'm now breaking in UR Speaker cables as well with the Ultimates on loan to a store. I could try it when i get them Back.
Cheers! Dave
Calvinj, Thanks for the question.
I gave up on name brand equipment long ago when I realized they must use cheap parts to meet a price point. Also, I discovered I could get way better equipment for way less money.
All my equipment is custom built, severely modified and painstakingly tuned. This includes the speakers, racks, shelves and hundreds of tuning devices. It also includes custom everything from the electric meter to components (example: hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers instead of the standard thermal breakers, directionalized 10 gage wire. ext…) The room and room acoustics are custom also.
The new amp I mentioned in last post has been in design/development for 15 months. It is a dual mono integrated amp with dual outboard power supplies and a battery front end. It uses a number of discrete components from NewClassD in Denmark and has no ordinary parts, wire or chassis. Imagine bell bronze heat sinks.
The only big brand names I'm using are High Fidelity Cables and Stillpoints. Both Amazing!! I use several CD enhancements i would not want to listen without. The best I've found are.. Essence of Music - disc cleaner. Marigo Audio - Disc mat. Hifi Tuning - disc demag.
High Fidelity Cable products make the biggest improvement ever!!
I have no stake in any of these 5 companies.
Enjoy the Music
@ Rick, I was communicating with Rick about my power cable order and he spoke about his thoughts on the materials he uses in his power cables.
He said," In a nutshell, I apply the best material choice or match I can for “each” cable design. It is part of the design of each cable and contributes in its own why to the sound of that cable. It is NOT however the “hallmark” of the cables sound but instead the magnetic technology we apply is the paramount technology in establishing the majority of the sonic signature of each series of my power cables.
Calvin, Norm, Keith, I enjoyed Calvin's post! Love to see that amazement
I feel like the a charter member of the "Crazy Club", a polite way of saying Audio addict. My full loom UR cables, + UR - WGPF, + URR pc
cost 9 times the amount of the rest of my system. And why the H would anyone do that? It sure sounds crazy to the uninitiated. But the Incredible Sound, the Astonishing Experience of High Fidelity products can be irresistibly alluring. like sex or drugs to some. Which is why we say "don't listen to them if you can't afford them" because they are exceedingly hard to let go of.
I'm listening to music much more than ever before because the Wow factor is off the charts. I'm so continually Thrilled, Emotionally Involved, Enveloped, Transported, and Awed by what I hear these days the adequate descriptors allude me. What price for that, my friends, what price for that?
Before I heard these dangerously good products I would have never imagined spending this type of money. So… Is it crazy to hear these
gems or crazy not to?
New Review of the High Fidelity Ultimate Reference Rhodium Power Cord
Re chain The Kraken!!
I just read Jack Roberts review for Dagogo. Wow!!! the picture Jack painted really made me want one.. Really a lot.
But wait… I already have one on order. After I finish this post I am going to go wait by the door until my URR arrives. could be a week.
The comparison between it and the Kraken tells it all as he describes some of the abilities that make the HF URR so superior in realism.
This phenomena is also present in their signal cables. The Highest Fidelity Ever. Enjoy
URR day 3 WOW WOW WOW!!! 30 hours of play time and I find myself just trying to relax and be as open as possible, as this miracle of sound washes over me. I can lean full into the triumph of tone and texture and too many additional attributes, like never before. The grit and grind and soul of the music is there, like never before. Wow!
I have some friends over and collected utterances during the music.
Maybe they will help with the understanding.
"god" , "Yeah", "Wow", "incredible", "Amazing" were words repeated every few minutes.
"I didn't even know those sounds were in there", " It's Unbelievable!!"
"This is 10 times as good!!" "The speed is amazing!" "so solid, powerful". "The old was fuzzy and buzzy compared to this".
"It is, at once, both the finest detail and the most solid image imaginable". "the artists work Shines!!"
"Tone and texture unraveled and revealed." "Each tune a Musical Journey" "It's NOT like listening to an audio system"
" It's a tipping point where the sum is so much more than the parts."
"That instrument finally sounds right." Cymbals or so solid"
"It handles complicated passages and dynamic shifts so well."
"It's like being part of the performance!"
There is a totality, a wholeness, an impossible realness to it"
"The music floated me away!" "Air and space, OUTstanding!!
"I can't describe it… they gotta just hear it!!"

Cheers D
Calvinj, love your descriptions of the HF UR stuff! I know exactly what you are talking about, I've tried tons of gear over the decades and NOTHING has EVER amazed me more!!! Yes, the sound floats effortlessly out of nowhere, with amazing naturalness, speed and power.
I too know Nirvana!

I love batteries and have many in my system. I do a lot of damping, shielding and isolating my batteries as well as custom upgraded "bybee music rails" to reduce battery induced noise. After that…."SWEET"!!!
D
Lak, Thanks for your music suggestions! I have Hugh's "Hope" album and find it's beautiful, so real, horn work magnificent!! I do check out suggestions on the web but my cheap headphones into my computer is but a vague hint at the actual sound.
Jazzonthehudson, Thanks for the question. The answer is not simple and photos are even harder. Can't post pics here and I'm not a camera person. And it is not photogenic (ugly mess) Perhaps I will do a thread someday on "MAD Tweaks"!
Good tweaks can be system dependent and listener specific which is one reason why manufacturers can't add or recommend tweaks. The other is that it makes their products appear " in need of help".
Hence a DIY approach. Much DYI is about low cost methods but there is another DIY that is only about the best possible sound at any cost in time or money. I live there.
"Super-isolation" stems, in part, from that and the possibility the more is better sometimes. If one isolation shelf works well,,, what would two isolation shelves sound like??… If one damping block improves the sound- how many blocks can I put on before the sound degrades? ( answer 2 to 5 blocks).
I will describe what is currently under my CD starting from the floor up. Floor-my design of cork glue and wood. then 4" x 3/4" pine plywood blocks to, Stillpoint mini's, to 18 x 21 x 2.5 inch iso shelf -then ply blocks- Stillpoint mini's- 14 x 18 x 2.5 inch iso shelf -wood ply-Stillpoint mini's- CD player. One stillpoint fits exactly underneath the center of where the CD sits while playing.
The top is off the CD player and i've added 21 damping devices inside.
ALL shelves and blocks made by Stan Goudge of Cedar Park Texas.
I hope you can see now how complex it is to describe even with most details left out. Decades of experimentation on every facet!
Pictures would help I know. I hope to work on that someday.
Enjoy the Music! D
Petieboy12003, your question
"So Ddraudt, basically you are saying i/we should not hesitate to get these URR P-cords right? "
Reply- I was adding my voice to the HFC experience with the HF URR pc's, thanks for asking. From what I am experiencing, I surely would recommend to serious audiophiles to try one. To Me, it transports a system to uncharted territories of Real. To you , it may be just words on a screen from a guy you don't know. To some, I am the Guy big audio industry folks go to to get ideas and suggestions. to others, I am a research facility working with other research facilities On "NO LIMITS AUDIO" The limits refer to time and money.
I blog in hopes of sharing something helpful and interesting, though, of what I speak is often beyond the experience or understanding of some readers. It inspires some and upsets others each for their own reasons not related to me.
A truth in Audio, what one has not heard, one does not know.
Mostly what I do is- Enjoy the Music! D
Yping, Welcome! one suggestion is Just reading the last two pages in stead of all 20.
Current update, Magnetic conduction is superior to electrical conduction. From mic to speaker coil, the whole system is actually
about Magnetism. So far we have been using electrical conduction and electricity to deliver, store or augment the original magnetic pulses and also to get a bigger magnetic pulse at the speaker.
AC is made from spinning magnets. electric motors use magnets to turn electrical energy into motion. Adding powerful fix magnets ( made with electricity) to there signal path or power path amplifies the magnetic signal. Copper wire will pass a magnetic pulse but because it is a very lousy magnet, it works extremely inefficiently.
I've tried every level of High Fidelity Cables and the are GREAT!!
They do things other cable can't. Many who have not heard them think it is impossible. You can rent a pair from the Cable co. or borrow one from a dealer. The higher levels, Ultimate and Ultimate Reference are breathtaking and can cost as much as a car. They work better because that have unbelievably powerful magnets with unbelievably high costs. No one is suggesting you buy them without hearing them. My suggestion… Enjoy the Music! D
Calloway, Yes, I agree with you.
Calvinj, Sounds like you are having too much fun! like me. Great!!!
4orreal, One difficulty in speaking on magnetic cables is that they are very different than electrical cables. The principals and function are different so the can't be thought of as "cables" in the traditional sense.
If one applies electrical thinking to magnetic conduction it will not make sense. Rick & friends are working on a vid to help explain mag conduction more simply. should be out soon. And yes, when you hear them you will be blown away ( and you'll want them very much).
Tbg, I know it is frustrating to have people rant about unfamiliar topics but, as you know, these are a new and different (superior) approach. Magnetic technology is know by so few that there is a learning curve for everyone. Enjoy the Music D
The music is on as I await travelers to Austin in search of audio nirvana.
High Fidelity Cables are too great to be believed and My system sings.
I think one of the hardest idea to get across is these are NOT wires, they don't act or sound like wires. If one has only heard wires they have no idea what we are talking about.
Cal, Love to have you visit. Listening to "The Benoit/Freeman Project 2" just now, Nice, about 7.5 or 8 of ten on recording quality scale and a lot of lively tunes.
@ddraudt did you hear Kendrick Scott Oracle "Cycling into Reality" song on his "Conviction" album.
I'll check it out. D
Audiolabyrinth, thanks Keith, I will let you know how it goes.
I would say that Ricks' Posse is a group of very serious audiophiles who like to have a lot of fun..
Tbg, Welcome home Norm! I'm looking forward to this visit with Rick and will be headed to Houston next friday to visit our audiophile friends there armed with many High Fidelity Cable products to show.
I AM having a lot of fun with audio. HF cables take a system to a place
non magnetic cables can't and I've learned how to get even more out of my HF products ( and everything else in my system.) Also, my new speakers are just finishing the design stage and in a few months, I start tuning the prototype speakers. AND My amp designer/builder
has decided to add an additional bank of capacitors but I still hope to have it in September.
As you may have guessed… The music is on, as usual, and the sound…A M A Z I N G ! ! ! D
Keith, Cal, It's good to know passionate audiophiles like yourselves.
I'm listening to music as I write. It brings me great joy. Been excited for days about Rick and 3 of his friends dropping off more High Fidelity magic this afternoon, then stopping by to listen this weekend. Friends and i were listening to Badi Assad last night and marveling about how pure and real and transcendent it was. I was trying to imagine how it could be better. Right now I have a custom URR pc into a custom UR Magnetic wave guide power filter. this afternoon I hope to try adding another URR pc between the HF mag power filter and the amp I'm using.
Triple magnetic power devices to the amp should be kind of good ;-)
I'll let you know… Enjoy… D
2nd pc, My new, second High Fidelity Cables- Ultimate Reference Rhodium power cord is already making huge improvements with only a few days on it. ( I think it needs about 400 hours) to magnetically align the electrons. (NOTE: - Non ferris materials can become reactive to magnetism if there are electrons flowing thru it.) Moreso, an electron beam can be attracted or repulsed by magnetic fields. (see cathode ray tube experiments since the year 1850)
The sound… hard to describe without hearing it or at least some HF magnetic gear but there is low level detail not possible with conventional wire. This vast abundance of details, once lost in the noise floor of standard wire, creates tones, and soundstage images
far beyond the experience of electrical only systems. (I'd never go back..) So, If I say the tone, purity and soundstage is Amazing!, and you've only heard Amazing electrical, You still have no idea what I meant. Sorry you'd have to hear it. I can say that serious audio people who go to all the audio shows and visit the best systems in the country said my system was a very rare gem. As I stated in an earlier post, I plugged this URR power cord into my amp. coming from My Mag filter, The HF UR WGPC. so from wall to amp it is URR-WGPF-URR.
The magnetic effect is additive.
If your worried about money, quickly -- back away from this blog.
If your into sound better than anyone else's , Welcome Home my Friend. Enjoy the Music!! D
Tsushima1, I agree that the UR IC's are Revelatory. I hope you get to try HF power cords also as they are as big as an improvement OR MORE than the signal cables. Totally mind blowing purity and imaging with much more detail, speed, pace, tone, intimacy, emotion…… louder also.
Note: I have gotten more out of my HF UR full loom by applying the same techniques of isolation damping and shielding I use on all other components.
I'm at the point with these marvelous High Fidelity products that I would change my components to ones that work better with these cables, cords and filters. They are That good. as a matter of fact I'm hoping to audition Ricks new Magnetic Conduction Amplifier soon.
Cheers D
CalvinJ, you asked "how is it sounding?" and I've been thinking of how I could describe such an event… Easier to describe to you and others with a lot of the High Fidelity gear. You know how each added high end piece brings you to a new world, nay, a new galaxy of resolution, realness and awe. I have a full loom of HF Ultimate Reference Cables, 2 URR power cords and a UR WGPC power filter/distribution station. Can you imagine me tuning each of those devices to get much more out of each?….?
So imagine if you can, your system with 6 times, big improvements in tone, micro detail, quietness, dynamics, pace, speed, image environment , emotion, involvement and goosebumps.
If you come up with a sense of what I am talking about kindly tell me how you would describe it?-??
I can say that it's not like listening to an audio system. when listening, there is no sense or thought of audio system. Just overwhelming involvement in the music that surrounds and lifts me into the flow of the music. Transplendent Purity.
Enjoy the Music D
Mapman. sorry for the misspelling, the P in magpie was supposed to be a G.
:-) - D
But seriously! You come on a High Fidelity Thread and actually state that you turned down a free listen to High Fidelity Cables. On a thread devoted to High Fidelity Cables. Subject "High Fidelity Cables Designed by Rick Schultz". So I naturally think you are joking and I joke back.
It's like you're extolling the virtue of sugar in a diabetic blog.
kidding or crazy?? you decide.
Since you posts mean absolutely nothing to anyone here I though you wanted attention really badly and gave some. I would comment on your posts but, alas, there is nothing there. You are so anti magnetic I think of you as Auntie Mags, no matter what name I write.
Cheers ;-) The Shillster
Johnbstiuu, I have 2 HF power cords in my system and 4 nice but homemade power cords also. My system runs thru a HFCables power filter and 2 homemade plug isolation boxes.( All parts isolated, damped and shielded). The sound makes people laugh, cry and gasp.
I imagine if you end up with a costly HFC power cord, you might want to upgrade to a better power distribution device but yes… in time the HF magnetic power cord thru a plugging strip would permeate the system.
ENjoy! D
Ronnjay, Good idea!, He's got family so i don't call on the weekends.
another issue I've seen is… because the cable ends are pressure lock, they are very difficult to get all the way in at first. I often have to double check that. Cheers D
Lak, I think you can use the same thinking as others have suggested
on the power cord placement with a HFCable Power cord.
Like Tbg, I use one on my HFC power filter/distribution center and it reaches several components that way so it makes the most difference.. If you have some kind of power center you could try it there. The magnetic power filter I have from HFC is better than one could imagine.
High Fidelity's magnetic power cables are much superior in low level retrieval than conventional pc's, so they should help a lot with low level signals…. However…. what they do for the power and dynamics and purity of power amps is astounding!!!
Enjoy!!!
Tbg, Calvinj, Fluffers, Keith

Tbg, I like that video too. Nice simplified explanation.

Calvinj, Thanks for the report on the "other" cable. where did you hear it?

Fluffers, Gary you are in for much more amazement as they break in further. Should improve over 600 hours of playtime. as far as bang for the bucks… there is a lotta bang with all HFCables stuff but it is much bucks. I would not want to give up my full loom of UR cables or any of my HF magnetic stuff, they all add so much.
I agree with others that the power cords are amazing and effect the system greatly. Especially if used into a power distribution device. The URR power cord is the best but even the Ultimate is surprisingly good!

Keith, sorry to hear that life has dealt you some blows lately. I find that music helps me when I'm down. I hope beautiful music can lift you up my friend.

to all I say.. Enjoy the music! D
Second report on third HF-URR Power cord. These babies do things I've never imagined possible. They make every component sounds like it has been replaced with a greatly superior piece of gear, in every aspect audiophiles are searching for.
I added the 3rd URR to my CD player. Since most of its functions are
supplied power from a bank of batteries, I thought it might not make much of a difference… WRONG!!! Very Wrong!!. Again another URR here gives my system another remarkable upgrade. Even though it runs mostly the drive motor in the CD, every aspect of realism, purity and effortlessness HUGE improvements!!! Makes me wonder what one URR would do to a turntable motor power supply??????? When I took the 3rd out it was much less magical, enthralling, intimate, awe inspiring. And that is starting with a sound that impresses everyone
including the most ardent audio nuts. 3rd back in (sigh of relief as my whole body relaxes with effortless, shockingly real sound). An amazing journey into previously unimagined realms of superior audio reproduction. Unfortunately, no words will let any who has not heard
comprehend. Fortunately, we all CAN hear them!
Ketcham, welcome, glad to see you on the site. You asked about isolation of the magnetic waveguide stands and I do That. Tbg also has his ways of isolating waveguides and their stands. I first isolate the mag stands from the floor with 4" squares of pine plywood. Then I use small isolation platform under the stand. I have has success with some small weights in top of the stand… and small weights on the plugs or connectors (power cords or cables ). I also use metal shielding at a number of places over the cables themselves.
The combination of tweaks gives me cleaner, clearer, quieter sound with more dynamics and detail. more real.
All of the tweaks I use are specific to this system and take much time
to perfect and to tune the system with. Very tricky to remove the unwanted stuff and leave all of the good. I have a friend who makes Isolation tables for me in 6 different sizes and damping blocks in 8 different sizes. I use a lot of Stillpoints too.
And yes… the waveguides take up a lot of floor space in my little room. right now I have 7 sets of magnetic waveguides in my system.
Several are resting on other components at this time. I plan to build raised, iso stands for the speaker and interconnect waveguides and to leave the HF mag power filter and power cords closer to the floor but also on iso stands.
I hope you are having fun with your system!! ;-) D
Mikha65 , Welcome! I'm very glad you are starting to experience what all the blogging has been about. That "more real than ever before" is very alluring. I love it! I know some people report improvements for 600 hours and even 1000 hrs, I agree but it depends on the systems sensitivity and how much one is into detail with realism. I love it!
Now you can start imagining what the higher rhelms of HFCable
might sound like. with each step up, they are better at EVERYTHING!!!
a great deal better, shockingly better!!! It's a big WOW! experience with every part I add. I love it! All are mind-blowing but I think the power cords are the most unbelievable experience. Seems impossible that a power cord could create such a quantum shift in a component, in a system, in realism, but like the cables, they do. Enjoy!!! D
Jazzonthehudson, in answer to you questions below…
…….."Ddraudt:
Can you please post some pictures under your systems page? (that need to be set up but would certainly help others to benefit from your experience). I totally believe in tweaking and am using composite isolation set up for my upstream equipment (wood, symposium svelte, stillpoint ultra ss). Also curious how to put on the aluminium shielding and still preserving the aesthetics of the system"………..
Sorry, I don't do photos because I'm not a picture taker and because my system has zero esthetics . It's an ugly system that is shockingly wonderful sounding. I'm glad to help and advise people. I have no wife factor,... no sense of style and care only about the sound and the reliability of the equipment.
Calvinj, My magnetic power filter is too amazing to describe and I have a month of playing to go.
Over 30 years ago, I realized the immense importance of the power system in my audio so I set out to make as every improvement I could find on every part of the power system. dedicated separate wiring from the electric meter on, special no resistance breakers, A bank of huge isolation transformers, directionalized 10 gage solid wire directly into
individual power filters for each of 5 lines connect directly into the 5 separate components. then adding damping, shielding and isolation to the power parts. Testing the sound each step of the way. That system thrilled some audio reviewers back then.
I can say that today there is absolutely no comparison to what I hear today. back then it was great music playback.
Today it is "un-comprehend- ably" awesome emotional and real performances. life is sweet!!!
I have tried a number Of fancy expensive power filters like HB power slave etc. but they can't touch this...;-) D IMHO No comparisons can be reached.
Happy Holidays!! D
ATTENTION: Directionality of HFC magnetic cables is as critical as turning a fan in the direction you want the wind to blow. The Magnets are pushing in one direction. If turned around they push the wrong way. I had experienced this at my house before and a friend just related another story of how much better it sounds in the correct direction. ;-)
He said,"Everything was more immediate, bigger, more dimensional and dynamic"!! I say, "more magic"!!
HF wire is marked and so are the ends and waveguides but I use a tiny ring of red or black electrical tape near the ends to make it harder for me to mess it up. ;-) Enjoy! D
Audioguy003, Welcome and thank you for an on topic post. also, Congrats on being in the top 3 of the worlds' audio guys! ;-).
I have UR speaker cables and believe that isolation damping and shielding make a bigger difference than spades or bananas. also that it could be system dependent... I've always preferred spades in the past 40 years except where I can leave out connectors altogether. Because I could get spades much tighter. My current amp does not have any binding posts so connecting spades is a chore and bananas impossible.
Magnetic conduction is different enough that bananas may keep the topology of the signal/magnetic fields more in line. (Theory)
I am having magnetic binding posts installed in my latest amp and speakers.
At that point, Bananas will be the go to ends. Until then, I am using "cranked down" spades as in past decades.
Perhaps you will have an opportunity to experiment on your system.
Remember you must leave them in at least 24 hours in order that they can resettle before meaningful comparisons can be made.
I hope other UR owners will comment on their experiences.

I recommend polishing the ends (and threads) then adding "Stabilent 22" contact enhancer as High Fidelity suggested to me.
Enjoy the Music
D
Calvin, Great description of How High Fidelity cables work in your system!
You set a fine example. I have been noticing how wonderful piano sounds lately. One of the most complex collection of sounds, piano is, to me, the most difficult instrument to reproduce faithfully. High Fidelity cables speed and control, naturalness, dynamics both macro and micro, imaging and effortlessness allow amazing and previously unheard piano beautifulness!!
I agree that those who have not heard have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of value to say here. "A fool knows the price of everything and the value of nothing"
So happy you are having fun with it. DDD
Calvinj, Yes It it tiring, let's ignore swamp water, grog and pam from now on.
I listened to a wide variety of music today From The Beatles to Knife Fight.
At 1:18 A.M. I'm listening to Native American Flute but I've heard classical and HipHop R&B, groups I recall from nearly 60 years ago. I still enjoy Van Morrison's "astral weeks" album and Rickie Lee Jones. Have you heard
Ottmar Lieber & Luna Negra's album "VIVA" Astonishing recording to me.

I'm so grateful to have had my best friend and lifetime audio buddy tell me about these High Fidelity magnetic cables 3 years ago. I'm glad he got to hear them before he passed. He was a true music lover and audiophile and got to hear this innovation that we both realized was about to change the audio game. I've focused most of my energy into hearing More and more magnetic magic. A sizable effort to be sure over the past several years but each step up brings such a rewarding insight into the new world order in audio. and such sheer JOY..
(Doubters, please don't take my word for it!),(Interested parties, Please don't take my word for it) Just listen...If you can't hear the difference, Please... Move ON with your life!
If you could not or would not afford HF cables I would take caution...
most addictive audio product ever ;-) Really!
Tobes, Good question! You are right that the patent info is more of a concept explanation. I just read a new pamphlet about High Fidelity NON Cables with better insight explained more simply. (With images) Should be out soon.
Part of the scientific explanation would include quantum spin dipole movement of electrons plus electromagnetic theory at the atomic level.
I imagine peoples eyes glazing over at this point....
An excerpt of the simpler explination is repeated below..
"Scientific research has now confirmed that electrons
interact like common bar magnets. In effect, electrons
are attracted to other electrons of opposite polarity in
the same way that magnets are. Inside our
interconnects, we strategically place a series of
magnets of varying sizes and strengths, placed
around a solid core metal conductor at strategic
intervals in a north-south/north-south configuration.
The free electrons in the audio signal are so
powerfully attracted to the guiding forces of our
magnetic array that they have no choice but to be
pulled along the extreme center
of the conductor directly to their destination.
The strong
magnetic pathway generated by our neodymium
magnets, subject to the Lorentz Force law of
electromagnetism, will directionally align, lock onto
and accelerate electrons in a preferred linear path
following the densest and strongest magnetic field
path centered within the CORE of our connectors.
In laymen’s terms, the electrical current is pulled
through with such force that the electrons are unable
to break free from the magnetic pathway created by
our design.
As a result, the noise and distortion of EMI (RFI, conductive impedance, skin effect, capacitance, ect.)
are simply overpowered by the magnetic conductance
technology used within our products."
Keep on the lookout for this pamphlet!
I hope that helps! Feel free to contact me for further scientific explanation or other answers to your questions.
Feel Free to enjoy the music!! D
Tobes, sorry, I was trying to help but I seemed to stir up a nest of trolls!
Hehe!!
You know... I could be wrong... one possibility.
Is it possible some haven't delved into CURRENT theory deeply enough.
History is festoon with humanities hate and fear of the unknown So you are all forgiven.
My system sings more sweetly so I care little about "Clowns on a Thread"
Spoiler alert!, this thread is read by 10 people. Hahaha!!
I LOVE High Fidelity Cables and my knowledge and experience has me excited about the sound. Others like myself share here. We just step over "unhelpful"piles in our path to elation.
Sorry Kids!! The Music is ON and I got to GO!
I had people over the past 3 days listening to what High Fidelity non cables do for my system. 2 music lovers and one former audio Rep and audio storeowner/operator.
I alway like to ask folks how they would describe the system. All agreed that they had no appropriate words to impart an understanding of what they experienced. I have that trouble too.
The Audio guy, after listening to music he was extremely familiar with, "Tin Pan Alley" by Stevie Ray Vaughan, said it was the best he'd ever heard it by far. First time he could hear pinpoint placement with air around every instrument, effortlessly painting and amazing picture. Unheard of image solidity, dynamics, tone and effortless.
One listener called it "perfectly pure", another called it "an out of body experience, transcendent ". An audiophiles dream!!
More people listening tonight as I tune up for big weekend visits. ;-) D
Sammons, I don't think an adapter would defeat the magnetic process.
I have used my HF power cords to a non magnetic junction box and out of that junction box with non Magnetic power cables to components with wonderful results!!
I would not recommend extra connections for signal cables, however, the power parts are less effected by such things.
I would recommend, if you can't get NZ blades... get an adaptor, clean it well and add contact enhancer like "Stabilant 22". You component inlets could be replaced with US inlets also.
Like Tbg, I'm fortunate to have the High Fidelity UR power filter with a HF URR power cord plugged into it. Beyond Breathtaking! I have a HF URR pc out of my HF power filter to non magnetic distribution.
I hope to try a 3rd URR this week. Cheers D
Calvinj, WE did have fun and learned new things at Tbg's. For me the most memorable experience was when Norm put a 5th High Fidelity URR in his system. On the DAC for his Digitally stored components. As the first notes started playing all six of us laughed out loud in awe!! You could actually here it when the mics opened even before the music started that the venue was THERE in the room. Totally totally awesome forcing Norm to morn needing to order his 5th URR. Which he ordered that day.
Same darn thing happened to me during the visit to my house. We tried a 3rd URR and it was so awesome this I simply HAD to order my 3rd URR
for my system. Dangerously Superior!! ~!~
Sounds like you are having fun with your system!!
I have been doing so many audio related tasks it seems like a full time job.
I replace the Inlet on my amp yesterday which required me to remove and replace more than half my system. Pain in the >>>! Still retuning.
I bought a cheap card reader from china that I am playing with (Hifi 360 PLA- under $190 with shipping) very limited but considering modding.
Nice to put in one SD card and play 40 albums.
Looking into getting some Star Sound Technologies amp stands.
should be getting new speakers, HF power cord and HF amp this month.
Guess who is Enjoying the Music?! D
Mapman, I can tell you that I have a small room and do "near field " listening
The small room has 37 tube traps tuned within 1/8 of an inch or less. I use hundreds of pounds of damping material and at least 8 custom isolation tables. All my cables and power are High Fidelity UR or URR where possible.
I use over 40 iso feet consisting of Cerabase, Stillpoints and Star-points currently leaning toward Star Sound Technologies points and bases.
I use a hundred other tweaks. I'm retired so I can spend 5 to 10 hours a day working on my system. I have no tubes or turntable any more. I've been heavy into "no limits audio" since 1980 ( the lunatic fringe of audiophile-dom ). I only know a small handful of people engaged in that level of audio pursuit. It would help if I have tons of money but alas! I don't.
I could tell you that high level audio folks say very nice things when they hear my system and have had 4 current audio reviewers over to listen as well as Audio store owners, Recording studio folks and music artists who all have been impressed.
I can't really tell you how it sounds in a way that would come close to the experience. I do attempt to relate my experiences but I'm no reviewer or writer (obviously ).
I will continue on the best I can. ;-) D
Ok, alway sounded good makes sense to me. 35 years ago I had a system that sounded very good, Modded Conrad Johnson "Premier One" with new caps and tube sockets.. VPI turntable with air bering arm and Koetsu cartridge. Next I built a system for a friend that got audio reviewers interested in the mid 80's. both were very good compared to other systems I've heard. After a lifetime of audio researching, My system has sounded better and better. Now with Custom components and the top High Fidelity Products even the radio sounds better than most systems. ;-)
In the past 2 years, mind-blowing improvements have been a regular occurrence here at Tweak Central.
Two months ago a regular listener (and audiophile) said my system was the best it's ever been. Since then I've made at least half dozen large improvements. It sounds better this week than last and I have some big improvements planned for this week and next. (and next month, and during the summer and next fall)......
Geoffkait, CD treatments. I've played with many CD cleaners over the years
moving on to better and better results. The best one IMHO is Essence of Music used in a 3 step cleaning procedure. Amazing inner detail.
For demagnification I've found the (now out of production) HIFI tuning damage unit with 4 times the demag capabilities of other devices. Many steps closer to real. (available from china now but 220V)
The best CD mat I find is the Marigo Audio Labs "Ultima Signature Mat"
Layers of additional information. I use a Sharpie Black paint pen to darken the edges and the center edge of the disc to reduce noise from laser light bounce inside the CD. much quieter cleaner sound.
Most of my CD's have edge cut at angles to reduce internal reflection but the newer ones have not been done yet.
With the advent of Ricks Magnetic items from High Fidelity gear I have so much more realistic and micro detailed music that test become much easier to hear. I know from experience that some of the tweaks I use will not show improvement in basic systems ( under $10K ) but have immediate and profound effects on $25K and up systems. So not for everybody.
Calvinj, How is your system these days? I've had great results with several
speaker related changes to my old speakers and am now ready to start
with my new prototype speakers. The improvements I've made ( Star Sound Sistrum Apprentice stands and a port extension ) will work on the new speakers. I will get them next week!!

I had a great visit to Norms Saturday. His system is Inspiringly Awesome sounding now!!
I was there for 7 hours where I enjoyed helping Norm and his friend Miguel compare many different items.
It was good to see that much of the stuff I have was still in the winners circle. (I.E. Full compliment of High Fidelity stuff)
Miguel is a very interesting man who, after decades of research and practice knows more about grounding
than anyone I’ve ever talked to. I was fortunate to witness grounding experiments that reviled superb improvements
in the life of the music (and all other positive audio descriptors.) I hope to implement some better grounding methods
to my system one day soon.
Cheers D
Rlawry,Systems, ears, and perceptions vary. That is why I travel to hear other great systems. Not only hearing but trying different products and ideas.
I never did take out my other HF cables to try HF URR PC. Way to much work that I have no reason to take on.
Those who have gone from CT-1 IC or SC to Ultimate have some idea of the type and amount of improvement one can realize. Not nearly the improvement from Ultimate to Ultimate Reference. The same is true in a comparison between the UR and URR power cords. The URR is wildly better at everything.
URR seemed like the greatest improvement of all HF stuff in my system.
I've added a second then a third URR and each made my system much more amazing. I heard the same improvements in Norms system when he added a fifth URR. Much more solid and real image. more intimate, musical, effortless, involving, awe inspiring, joyous!
Norm and I have extremely different systems, taste in music, and listening style but both were greatly improved with each URR.
Are systems are similar in that we both have the latest version of the HF UR WGPC (power filter), full loom of UR cables and all URR power cords.
Norm and I both have URR power cords plugged into
our HF UR WGPC then URR's out of the WGPC to components. This means we have 3 magnetic devices back to back on the power side.
Crazy? possibly. Crazy Good? Definitely!! Best ever! No going back!
Point is, what we are hearing/ describing, could be much different than other folks are experiencing.
"HF Cables - More is Better!!" ;-) D
Mapman, I read you last post over and over but it still made no sense.
Your earlier statement ;
" 03-30-15: Mapman
That's why you can't know what you like best until you hear it."

Now that made sense!!!

I've probably forgotten but.. How is you system sounding?
I assume you have a system that you listen to. I seem to only recall you say who and what you don't like, and what is wrong with this and that.
Is you system / life so bad you don't have anything good to think about?
I hope not!
Whats good with you Map? Hugs D
Hi Friends, I've been discovering ways to improve the sound of my High Fidelity products. At Ricks suggestion, I started experimenting with Star Sound Technologies, Audio points and platforms. I discovered a shocking improvement in clarity and naturalness by placing my speaker waveguides on Star Sound's "Apprentice" platforms. Similarly, The sound improved with Star's "Soundworks" platform under HF power cable waveguides. I also have Star's "audio points" under 3 power components.
the combo (along with Apprentice stands under my speakers) give me a much more intimate and involving sound. I've got two more Apprentice platforms in today to play with. I hope to visit Norm when he gets the larger "Sistrum Rhythm" platform and racks later this month.
What's new with you???? D
Self control < audio addiction

HFC > audio addiction

Therefore

HFC >> audio addiction.

Be forewarned

If your like me....and you hear the top tier....You will desire them

Very dearly

Very
Hello all, I've been having great fun with HFC power cords lately and my tweaking of waveguides. We have been enjoying another astonishing level of
being "inside the music venue" realism. I'm blown away by being engulfed in the soundstage today, and every time I sit down to listen. Never heard anything like it.
More HFC Magnets- I ordered a double DSD system yesterday and like any components I buy, I must figure out how many more HFC products I MUST
get to complete the magic. looks like I need a HFC UR IC, 2 Ct1 pc's and another bigger HF power cord. Anyone want to buy a used kidney? ;-) D
Hi All, was out of town for a while and it was so good to heart music again.
I'm blown away every time i hear my system, I guess it is too good to remember how good it actually is (?).
here is some good news for some.
Next level of HF cables is now in production. URR double helix power cords, ur double helix IC, digital and speaker cable, and pro series, super large URRH POWER CORD that uses
helix waveguide the size of ur speaker cable waveguide 15.5 inch waveguides in the pro pc, Urr helix pc has 6.5inches of magnets.
. The good news, they are as huge an improvement as going from u to ur.
Soundstage is F-ing science fiction. Scary sense of reality. shockingly superior.
I have the pleasure of testing some prototypes. I have one pair URH IC, 2 URRH PC and 2 Pro URRH pc ($20,000+ power cord anyone) unobtainium.
Pro series developed for far east market where they hemorrhage money for audio and buy Million dollar speakers.
I been able to try every level of HF cables like others of you here.
I expect huge and dramatic shifts in quality with each level,
these new "double helix" do not disappoint. In fact, they are so awesome
my mind boggles at the musical experience never imagined possible.
I haven't mentioned price but let me say that I'm doing what I like to call deficit spending where my credit card bill equals my monthly income.
I love love love music so it is worth every penny.
Other news- I got a new custom Oppo Transport w/ built in battery ps for clock. It is sounding great!!

I got a double DSD system I'm building that is very close to "Studio Master Tape" quality. With 4000 premier tracks built in to the storage HD.

I built a 1/4 inch thick brass plate to replace the bottom of the custom
DAC/Pre/Amp box I'm having built. I purchased the final parts $1000 for 4 silver wire transformers. 2 step-down transformers, 2 input coupling xfmers.
Both are the most lossless way to attenuate and to couple to input.
No caps, resistors or coils to color the sound.
Hope to have the amp soon... It will have HFC magnetic binding posts as do my speakers. (OEM)

I'm getting more Starsound platforms and racks as I can find money for them. Selling everything I can to support my toy habit.

Friend Frank and I are working inventing on a super power distribution box to plug the BIG pc into (Mostly Frank. )
Many parameters to test as each different part must be tested with each other part and in combinations to find the best collaboration of parts. months now. we have moved from duplex outlet ATL CU 2000 to the R0 from Oyaide. We have figured out the type, size and configuration and orientation of the wires we will use.
we are down to 3 inlets to compare, we have eliminated 3 mounting plates and two outlet covers to stay with Furutech wall mount place and cover. We are down to 2 boxes to mount
the stuff in. Frank is visiting Saturday with some test boxes.
FUN!!
D
Wow! lots of great posts this week. Great!
I got my updated power cords back 3 days ago and got them all back up on Star Sound Platforms and points.
A 24 hour warm up and we listen more closely.
"It Sounds SO Real" was one friends comment. There is more of everything that is magical about audio I say. The wonderful descriptions by others here of HF power cord effects are true for me also. The astonishing "New Life" in each step up the HF line has been amazing to behold. My detail has detail at this point, but not harsh or etched, just a much enhance experience of the intermodulation of blending and sympathetic tones, with smooth effortless treble. Soundstage presence and solidity also have reached unprecedented levels. The involvement in such a visceral portrait has never been more acute.
Cheers and Enjoy the Music
How are you all doing.
