I’ve been in quiet mode for the last 10 days now while several things were/are going on.
I had several poor health days resulting in forced quiet time during this period. Better today at last. I’ve tried to keep up with orders/shipments etc. and we have tons of product leaving for overseas during this last week and this week as well. Lots of domestic also.
Deep Core v3 is being made now – samples first to D Goldberg and the RF Crew and then to our beta team and onward to backlog. I’ve heard nothing but positive comments.
All refunds have been processed by now – except for two new ones.
Contacting me for several of these days was difficult as I changed phones and providers. Plus, we needed to reconnect Google Voice and You Mail – everything back to working solid.

Good Day All, I’ve not posted a great deal recently as I’ve wanted to simply let the new Deep Core v3 do the talking. We have sent the final unit to Doug for approval which he will receive tomorrow as I understand it. Once Doug has approved we will re-send the beta units and immediately after that… those on back order. The new v3 has quietly been through quite a bit of testing in California – we even had it running 1500 watt heat shrink guns for hours on end. These units draw 1500 watts and are about as miserable a load as possibly created. I’m not at home at the moment and on my desktop, but when I do get home I will post tiny URL’s for everything I’m mentioning now in this post. I’ve had spend a lot of time dealing with health matters over these last few weeks and things are in reasonably good order (finally). I realize clearly that this is not the time of place to discuss matters like these ion any kind of detail. I also want to send a special thanks to those that have sent mail to “check in”. I had some old Infinity Pals send notes to remind me how difficult some of the products we’ve worked on over the years that took time and money never expected. I appreciate those memories – and they brought me to a time and place working with Arnie (Nudell) over the years I spent with him from a lad of 15. Arnie was a GREAT Mentor and now that he’s past I appreciate his memory as one of honor and blessing. How lucky I was/am to have worked with him and later at Genesis with Arnie and Paul (McGowan) — great partners and even greater friends. I’ve shared some very emotional notes with Paulie lately that brought me to delighted tears. I guess I needed to re-hear a few of those memories to remind me how much I enjoy the development process. I also needed to hear how many might not enjoy hearing the gory details moment by moment. Thank You AM for reminding me of that. Glad to report that the new EQUI=CORE 600 will make its way out in the next few weeks. This is a 600 watt Balanced / Isolated AC Power Source that sits in the same case as Deep Core. Probable retail just under 1K dollars. I am shipping my sample to a new friend today – but it’s worked perfectly in my system for weeks under heavy work load. Pictures to follow. The DC v3 and the E=C 600 will be a great Dynamic Duo well under 2K retail when they are all shipping. I am very happy to report that old orders to Singapore and Hong Kong are leaving here shortly with great appreciation and thanks. In many cases people were waiting for upgraded kit and new products. I’ve been shown great kindness from these folks. Thank You. We have more 1800’s leaving for Australia and The Netherlands through the week. I really love exporting our products and these are welcome additions. I love chatting with these folks after they’ve had our 1800’s in their systems for a few weeks. We are slowly making waves outside of the US. The new Ground Zero is also done – and that sample left for Doug as well. This will debut later in the year (maybe late May) and we are all excited about this one as well. I’ve missed being here – but I’m also glad to being following the advice of others – go slow and get it right. No more Open Beta and just keep on keeping on here. I’m in quiet mode for sure. I am enjoying reading about modified units and more from these threads. I’ve had trouble staying in front of my computer screen(s) of late – but I am hopeful to have more time to post relevant answers and information. I’ve had two major health issues come up that will keep me from flying. These are both major events in my life and I’ve decided to follow Doctor’s strict orders and stay home.

Dear Audiogon Friends,
Today I am back at my desk and actually getting some work done.
As in the recent past I’m going to attempt to be very brief here and try to keep everything as professional and unemotional as possible.
I understand clearly that my inability to “present” on a daily basis has caused upset and uncertainty in places. The good news is I am on a Migraine Med that doesn’t interfere with my Parkinson’s Med so I can once again watch TV and sit in front of my computer monitor and work. My typing is slow – but my willingness is there to proceed.
We will have a major announcement for everyone next week about my go-forward and the company go-forward as well. I will not be in the daily drivers seat but here to help in every way. Production will be taken over shortly – and we will be in a place that makes better sense to all of us as I move through my medical issues.
In the meantime – if anyone has anything they need or desire please e-mail me (or call/text)… I will be back to you in 24 hours latest (which over the last 8 weeks simply wasn’t possible)…

Deep Core will see the light of day in a few days now that the team is back from Munich and I’m able to participate as well. I’m especially grateful for this.

I have been wanting to write sooner – but I was advised to stay away until we had a deal for Core Power along with some deeply troubling things I have learned about a few of the people that have been posting in these threads. I apologize to all of you for this.
I have two very long posts drafted and waiting for Counsel approval before posting. One is business related – and the other is deeply personal. I have learned a lot in these last few weeks and I’m ready to get a few things “spoken”.
The Company is most certainly NOT out of business. The Company has been sold to one of the very best businesses in the audio industry and led by a man I personally trust and know. Modwright Instruments and Dan Wright will take over Core Power Tech. Dan is a wonderful person and he is First Cabin in my book all the way.
There is so much to say and I’m anxious to do it, but this much I can offer. We have obtained a loan to close out the business from our end and take care of refunds to the 100th percentile and any outstanding debts the company has. Its clear to me that I’m unable to run a business of this magnitude and be present with my health in it’s current state. I’ve done a very poor job these last 90-days and I hold myself accountable and I wish to apologize to all of you.
We do have some shipments leaving early week to close things out. Several overseas shipments and perhaps 8 to 10 US-shipments. I will be contacting each person that had Deep Core ordered to discuss matters pertaining to the shipments. The product is complete, and Dan will be building them.
I will have much more to say this week – but suffice to say I am personally not at all pleased with myself and the state of affairs over these last 90 days. The company was very successful (in all ways) but we simply ran out of all the necessary things one needs to run a company of this size.
I wish to thank all of you – and I sincerely mean that.

As we are finally near to signing off on everything so Counsel has allowed me to send along this update.
Firstly – and most importantly… I want to again apologize for the time this has taken. Summer Holidays really slowed us down and as we have people involved in 4 states, none of this has been easy or simple. Everyone has to “attend” the Close. This will be done electronically with the entire group and including my wife and myself.
I wanted to send along my thanks to those that have written and to those that are working with “cptstatus”. We are probably at 90%. I was really happy when I read that over 80% have opted for the product rather than a refund. Those opting for refunds will receive them with First Money.
Of course, all of this is very bitter-sweet for us here. We had hoped to keep Core Power until I reached 65 years of age (I’m 62 now) … best laid plans. Deep Core certainly made it all so difficult and the theft of my identity did not help matters.
As well, I want to really (once again) state how deeply sorry I am. None of this was planned – it’s just a confluence of issues caused us to reach the final conclusion to sell. The buyers (3 of them + Kemper leading the effort) are great guys with a very real knowledge of what it takes to run a business like this. I’m both sad and happy all at the same time. These guys have the pockets and smarts to get Deep Core out – as well as Ground Zero and USBe Perfect.
I will be not be a part of the ongoing efforts but I will always be looking out for Core Power and it’s products. My main issue will be on getting my health in order as well as my financial house. We’ve been through some very real trauma these last few weeks with no income for the last 120 days other than Social Security and some part of sales that my Grandson is handling for our family. He has done a superb job.

I hope this note finds everyone well. This is most probably my last update here as we are set to Close this week on the sale of the business. Firstly, I again wish to apologize for the delay in the sale of the business and finishing out the refunds etc. I’m in process still with respect to this - and I wanted to offer some additional clarity and a POV that surely won’t be universally liked or accepted. My Grandson Paul has been helping us with sales of our products and well as others. He has done a really great job and we have been using these funds to pay expenses and refunds. ANY other suggestion of anything else is off-base and just wrong. We have been issuing refunds to those that decided money back was better than waiting for Deep Core. Of course we readily accept this. There has been all kinds of suggestions of nefarious behavior re these funds and what I can say is simply this… These funds kept our car running and our home in tact. Anything else is BS - flat out. In any event - we are here now and I wanted to update on transition issues etc. Once the new owners take over we will make a very detailed announcement about the company and their plans. Kemper Holt will be out front supported by a wonderful cast of experienced characters that will operate this business properly and grow it in incremental steps. These are good people that I trust and feel really good about. They are planning for Deep Core (v3) as well as the new 600 that’s been ready for 6 months + now. We couldn’t build it as we simply ran out of money. Once these folks take over they will fulfill the list of owed products as well as make refunds from proceeds. If I had the funds now - I would simply send checks. After losing our car briefly and (almost) our home I can safely say this —- refunds are First and Foremost. Our plan is to get everyone paid and then they will move forward. I feel it’s also important to share why this took so long. We had an original deal with Dan Wright, but the fact is that when the second offer came in… it was just too good to pass up. We had owed some 8k in refunds and I had arranged for a Bridge Loan of 20K to pay refunds and expenses while we got moving with Production etc. That never happened because the loan was contingent on Closing the sale. THAT never took place as we received the 2nd offer at the “11th hour”... This offer was much better and offered my wife and I a clear(er) path for our future. I’m out of the business now, but we surely do need for Core Power to keep on keeping on. Our future depends on this. I am sincerely sorry for the delays and the hurt this has all caused. I am 100% to blame here and nothing will please me more that taking care of our responsibilities. I’ve had a rough 4 months but my commitments and promises need to be kept. Our Legal Team made me promise not to post or make commitments as this has taken way longer than it should have. We had two of the three principles leave for various Summer duties and this slowed us even further. I had planned a much longer post, but I’m out of gas. I’ve felt so helpless as I’m unable to do more at time. I also learned that there were those bent of hurting me and Core Power at any cost. I know who these guys are - and I do plan to release names dates and information about several of the parties that have appeared here at AGon with posts that just aimed at inflaming, currying hurt and mis or dis information. Your time is up and now it will be time for a few of you to start answering questions. No one will be spared and many of these “Characters” will need to answer for their roles in this. Trust me when I tell you that this will be the very best money I have spent in a long time. I wish to thank the many of you that have been patient and trusting. No one will be left behind. I also wanted to send thanks to the many of you that have sent notes of encouragement. I won’t forget this. The new products that have been developed (Ground Zero, USBe Perfect, E=C 600 etc. will see the light of day. I hope you like them. Just wanted to send a short update We are all set on this end – we will be closed here just after the holiday. Everyone is back. I want to make mention that the gentleman that has threatened me did in fact send a few e-mail messages apologizing which I accepted and was grateful for. His explanation was understood and appreciated. I have also been in almost constant contact with rotaryphone who was, as expected, an Industry Guy. He is actually a good guy (very creative and sharp) deep down in side. I received mail from him as “Min Foo” and we’ve been having an ongoing discussion. I could have revealed this persons name back in 2009 but I chose not to – just as I have chosen to keep it quiet now. Although he believes that there is No Sale – I wonder what he will think when we share the buyers information. Oh well… that’s his issue and not mine. I’m selling off a few more personal pieces of equipment to keep things going on the home front while we get closed and move towards receiving funds. Of course, refunds are first and foremost. I have some Channel Islands 100B mono-blocks as well as a phenomenal DBX Drive Rack Venue 360 which is THE SOLUTION for Open Baffle speakers like all of the Emerald Physics or Clayton’s Spatial products. Pure Audio Project could use this 360 as well – it’s amazing. We made several refunds last week – and we have more planned for this coming week. EVERYONE will be made whole. As previously mentioned – most folks have opted for the product rather than the refund. We all sincerely appreciate it… more than you know. AG – I STILL HAVE the 2 x 1800’s that were promised to you. I will not reveal any of the communication you have sent here – but I’m more than willing to send them. I understand your situation and I think about you (and pray for you) every day. If you are in refund mode – I would expect that given sales and current state of affairs you are going to receive your 3K refund before the end of September. Lynn and I are making the best of it here. I’m grateful to have my car (this Fiat 500x trekking 1 of 2 here in Colorado with the special Matte Paint they made available for a short period of time in 2016) and we are so grateful to others that help us keep our house. THANK YOU. The new products are once again moving forward with design decisions and some input from me before I sign off. Really good people are at the helm and these products are going to see the light of day. I wanted to take a moment to make mention that I DID sell two 1800’s – one was my personal unit and one was being “evaluated” but an Industry Expert that he had wanted to ship it back. I did this to stay alive – pay the water bill and energy bill etc. plus get the car back. Not complaining in the least. I know there are many of you that simply don’t care and I’m fine with that – after all… none of this is normal SOP. I know that many of you care and are interested in knowing details etc. I’ve done my best given what Counsel will allow me to say and do. I realize that the entire situation is not good in any event. Dear Audiogon Community Updating here… Core Power Tech LLC will Close it’s deal with the buyers as early as Monday. We had some work that we needed to do on our side and that work has been completed – therefore we will now Close. I’m been given the OK to post this message from the Buyers – “Core Power Tech will be managed by RF Circuits of Newbury Park CA for a group of investors who chose to remain anonymous at this time”… I can personally add that I have known these folks for a long time and I am really pleased and excited. Kemper Holt will be the man out in front (given a final agreement re remuneration) and I believe strongly that he will do a great job. The new group of owners is dedicated and committed to building the Core Power Brand. Refunds and promised shipments will be first up. Nothing will stand in the way of processing these important items. Lynn and I are no longer involved other than contributing product ideas. I have a new job outside of this industry, but I do plan on opening a review site for audio this year with a decidedly cool and unique approach. This process has taken far too long and of course I would like to apologize to all of you. This should have been long ago finished, refunds sent and those waiting gear happily receiving their promised goods. The 3rd time was a charm - and the choice CPT made here is really beyond spectacular for all concerned.
There were many reasons why this took so long. I don’t want to bore anyone with the details (which there are many)... but rest assured now that this is done we can focus on taking care of our responsibilities to all of you. In fact we have asked back our review samples and we have already received 4 units. These will be properly tested and brough to A Stock Status. November 26, 2018 For Immediate Release EXOGAL Audio announced today that they are acquiring the Equi-Core and Deep-Core product lines from Core Power Technologies. Said Jeff Haagenstad, CEO of EXOGAL: "We have been partners with Core Power Technologies at trade shows and in our development lab for several years. Many of our customers have separately purchased and use Equi-Core products and rave about the combination.
