Wait a year and that model will be replaced by a "new and improved" version. That's what they do.

Esoteric does release upgraded units, but it appears to me to be more like 3 year intervals and often trickle down upgrades based on their higher end offerings.  Sometimes audio companies make "new and improved" due to shortage or non-availability of parts and chips and/or improved performance parts that were previously not available in the market.  Some audio companies have longer and others shorter upgrade and new model cycles.
