Counterpoint - Alta Vista - Mike Elliott

I was just informed that Mike has stopped all business because of health reasons. The Alta Vista Website confirms this. I know some of you may have had some issues dealing with Mike in the past but Mike was always a professional to me and accommodating to all of my dumb questions. I learned so much from his designs and I know that they were way ahead of their time. I just finished modifying an SA-5000 for a few audiophiles based on the information provided on the Alta Vista Audio website and they sound excellent. I still own the current version of the NP-220 power amp.

Well my thoughts and prayers go out to Mike and his family.

I need to contact Michael Elliot to thank him for starting me on a spiritual path by suggesting that I take the EST training way back in the 80’s He and I were both working at Infinity Systems at the time.  In my searching for a way to contact him, so far I have had no luck.  So I thought by posting in this forum, I might find out how to do so.

As a fun thing I remember about Mike at Infinity, he made up some stick on labels that said “unacceptable for Audio” and would stick them on Arnie Nudell’s speakers in the sound room!  Always good for a laugh.

Hi Bigkidz. I have counterpoint sa-220 problem 1 channel doesn"t sound. I saw left board have  burn. Can you help me to contact to Johnson Wu because you are to far from me. I live in Carlifornia. Thank you.
