if your in it for the music, get the resolution audio cd50, i had both the bat and wadia, yes they are very well built cd players, but thats where it ends.save yourself some money, the most musical cd player outthere right now is the cd50.
Is this guy for real? Can the resolution audio cd50 really beat the Wadia 850 or the BAT vkd5 ??? I'm sure the cd50 owners on this group really like the cd50, but such strong statements like this make me suspicious. Fonsy66 sounds a lot like carl.. An alias?
I have compared the D5 vs the D5se is it worth the $1200, if your system is really sensitive and accurate, the D5se will unvail a layer of glare in classical or jazz music, if you listen to rock all the time it won't make a whole lot of differance. I haven't compared the D5 to the Wadia but based on my other comparisons of BAT tube gear to solid state I think a tube cd player will beat a solid state any day.
I HAVE A RESAUDIO CD-50 AND WOULD PUT IT AGAINST MOST SOLID OR TUBE PLAYERS OUTTHERE(ACTUALLY I HAVE!!)HAVEN'T FOUND IT'S EQUAL YET,SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY OR AT LEAST GIVE IT A TRY IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT I ASSURE YOU THAT SELLING IT WON'T BE A PROBLEM(YOU MAY EVEN MAKE A PROFIT)BUT THIS IS A SERIOUS PLAYER,AND BY THE WAY I'M NOT CARL!!!ALFREDO
