Amplifiers:A Keeper for Life. Do you know of one ?

Just wondering, with this audio merry-go-round of buying and selling, if anyone has an amp that will be a keeper for life. I haven't yet but came verrrry close once...

Yes; Cary 500 MB. These babies do 500 watts into 8 ohms and double-down to 1000 watts into a 4 ohm load (such as my Magnepan 3.6's) with plenty of current, they can drive any speaker. Softer and more refined than the Pass A/B designs (a lot less expensive too), they are the closet thing to really good tube amps that I have found in a solid state design. Very highly recommended! I won't be selling mine anytime soon...probably never...

My Accuphase C-280V from 1990.Very musical refined sound.
Enormus flexibility as controlecenter in my high end rigg.

Definitely the Parasound JC1 monoblocks. I'll buy them all over again if I have to.
