Amphion argon , helium speakers

After reading the stereophile review of these speakers, i went to a local dealer for a audition. I compared them with JM labs cobalt 816 speakers. What a difference. The JM labs were lively, the amphion speakers were FAR more "polite". The treble on the amphion speakers were far quieter and the speakers seemed a little cleaner than the jm cobalts. The sales rep, was very disparaging of the amphions and recommended the jm labs. Has anyone else auditioned these speakers? They had a very unique sound.
