@chobes That Purifi is a module, not a complete amplifier so unless you are planning to order it and build your own amp, your only Purifi option on the market at this point is the new NAD M33 (if it's even available yet). As far as Class D, perhaps the previous comments were true at one time in the past but I don't find them accurate with modern designs. I have a 250wpc Musical Fidelity A308cr that outputs 72 amps of current. It was replaced by a Class D Lyngdorf TDAI-3400 that is 200wpc and listed as 40 amps max continuous current. Just like in any other Class, there are many different designs of Class D amps. BTW the Parasound Hint 6 suggested above is 45 amps "peak," not continuous. I'm not much of a specs hound anyway but I guess my point is, I wouldn't abandon your ideas. Many places allow you to return so trust your ears not the wattage or current specs and don't discount Class D off-hand.
