851N / Xiaomi / DAC question

(don't worry, not another "what DAC is good?" post) :)

My question is related more to where a DAC would fit in my chain.  I have the Cambridge 852N as my main  streamer , and using the Xiaomi Mi https://www.mi.com/us/mi-box-s/  as a 'controller' with a nice monitor for album browsing for example.  (got the idea from Darko https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvF1lTsgv6o&t=593s )

Currently the Cambridge goes directly into my amplifier (Sunfire Integrated)

What I'm wondering is if I put a DAC between the Cambridge and the amplifier, is that the right place?  Or before the Cambridge?
