Does a REL subwoofer make the speakers' job easier?
I'm with @bdp24  for sure: So the Rythmik phase control allows one to position the sub where one wants it in the room (so as to avoid locations where room modes exist---peaks or nulls, a consequence of room dimensions), the phase control then us...
A preamp recommendation
I saw the Quicksilver Audio Line Stage Tube Preamplifier (Remote Version) listed recently on usam for $549. That is an amazing deal and might be what you're looking for. At the very least, it would give you something to try out and possibly re-sel...
Good but cheap bluetooth speakers
These are quite good. I've bought several.
The review wehave been promising is up
Twoleftears there is no advertising going on by us in the absolute sound. Ok, but you carry this brand and you're posting a positive review. That be pimpin' Maybe someone can dig up a negative review of this product for balance.

Does a REL subwoofer make the speakers' job easier?
You're not thinking too deeply. You're asking good questions. I had some of these, too. Have both REL and Rythmik. Like both, but Rythmik's adjustable phase is critical to getting room dialed in.
What are we objectivists missing?
@djones51 I think the word "impartial" does better work than "objective." I like what you said here: Let’s say you’re a restaurant critic. There may be certain foods that you subjectively dislike—ones that are just not to your taste. But when ...
Holo MAY KTE DAC/ Kitsune Hi FI, Lynnwood Washington
I would chime in on what @big_greg said. I also own a MHDT Labs Orchid R2R DAC. I had upgrades done to it by grannyring. Total invested in the DAC is about $1500. Here's something to consider. I did an extended shootout on a very high quality and...
What are we objectivists missing?
For many things, subjective impressions are share-able -- if you see me accidentally stab my hand with a fork, you’ll probably say "ow" at nearly the same instant I do. We overlap so much for our experiences because we share a very similar physiol...
What are we objectivists missing?
It is the difference between what you ACTUALLY hear and what you THINK you hear. Interesting statement. What does it mean to actually hear something I don’t think I hear? My dad has macular degeneration. If I hold up an envelope to him and s...
What are we objectivists missing?
what are we NOT measuring that would define those differences? This is a very hard question, as it refers to unknowns. There are many sensed qualities for which there is no quantifiable, measure-able correlate. We are relying on both neural p...
Do you consider cables to be a "component" of your system?
I do consider them to be a part of my system. But my room is a much bigger part of my system. In my opinion, one really cannot know what cable choices to make until one has stabilized the room factor. Some cannot change their rooms, but if they ca...
My last Integrated Amp: $5-10,000?
Lyngdorf would be on my short list.
Apple Music HIFI edition
Apple airplay has been quite reliable and easy to use for me. No buffering, sounds equal to Amazon HD. Just launch Apple music app and connect.
