Parasound A23+ or used Parasound A21
Sorry, I have not listened to Parasound's next gen gear. :)
Parasound Zpre3
Were you the one I suggested it would be a better pre than the P5? Glad you are happy. :)
When Did Your System Disappear?
When I fixed the room.  +1 GIK
audiophiles who are just getting the itch to upgrade
OP:I'm on team L, but never had the chance to listen to the Yammies or any Mc gear in ages. I'm very happy by the extension on the bottom and top, and a liquid, tube like midrange to treble, no noise, and excellent tone controls. If you don't alre...
Oscilloscopes - what specs to look for?
Cool!! :) Have a great time. :)
The quiet grid
People didn't seek actual facts and believed people that made claims that had no scientific basis and eventually either/or caught the virus or spread it to others. True.  Please read anything you can on the Spanish Flu of 1918 (which, BTW, may...
Parasound A23+ or used Parasound A21
The original A23 was warmer sounding than the A21. Highly recommended for those speakers. Also though, harshness/brightness in a room can be improved with room acoustics, even if your direct reflections are treated.
Luxman d-08u vs berkeley reference 2 dac
Just wanted to say, and I know this is off topic, the little DA-150 DAC/headphone amp Luxman makes looks really interesting.  I took a picture of the insides, looks like a fully discrete headphone amp section.  Just in terms of the headphone amp p...
Looking for NEW amp...would a Bryston 3Bsst output more power than a Krell 400xi amp?
Power is not the issue with ESl's so much as impedance.Look at the frequency response with a simulated speaker load. The Bryston here is the clear winner. Not sure about pricing but you should consider the Sander's Magtech amps as well. Best,E
Sales or clearances happening now
+2 on the Fritz.  First time I heard them I talked to a pair of musicians from Blue Coast records, they agreed his speakers were the best of the show. I like the ring radiator models more than I like the Be. Still, great speakers, great value, and...
Tube preamps, basic design parameters
Implementation matters, and that's hard to tell from any of the parameters you've used. I would say you need a pre with a HT bypass first of all, so that eliminates a lot of old school and inexpensive contenders.
Would a wireless volume knob for home theaters be worth it?
For the most part I think manufacturers have licked the issue of speed of change to up/down buttons. That is, they seem to work well enough for me.
Most musical stand mount loudspeakers
Fritz, with the ScanSpeak mid-woofers and ring radiators. Outstanding.
What was wrong with the P-mount ?
Snap-on, snap-off.  That's a huge benefit for me right there. :) Best,E
Filter Capacitance
@atmasphere Even allegedly DC coupled amplifiers have servo controls which effectively limit the amp's low frequency bounds, no?
