Help: ISO Beginner full setup for excellent sound on $2000 max budget
whyistherenopie, you're being gracious and wise, so I'll add some more. :) Not trying to berate you, not trying to destroy Omega speakers. Trying to teach you - from someone who is an industry member, reviewer at Dagogo.com - what to expect. Here ...

Help: ISO Beginner full setup for excellent sound on $2000 max budget
There are some excellent suggestions here with speakers that will vastly outperform the Omega. This is the last attempt at trying to save you from making what I feel is a major mistake in selection of a system. It seems that the desire for aesthet...
Help: ISO Beginner full setup for excellent sound on $2000 max budget
If you buy the Omega you will have very limited bass. Do you have any idea how lacking it is in low end extension? More like hearing fancy boom box than what I would call prodigious speakers. Have I heard them? No, don't need to, only have to see ...

Used pair of Vandeersteen 1 or 2 speakers, used integrated amp with phono pre built in at this price level. For now use phone analogue out into Integrated amp. Upgrade source later. At this price level dividing costs evenly across components will ...
Break in time that extends to months or maybe even years!!
Davey, good one!  :)Perhaps you would enjoy my serious take on the subject. Go to Dagogo.com and read my article ;  Audiophile Law: Thou Shalt Not Overemphasize Burn In.

No one's gear sounds any good prior to 5,000 hours.
Listening Room Dimensions... I'm building one and need your help
My recommendation - don't do it. I simply would not try to make a premium two channel room that also would be for band rehearsal. I would find another place to rehearse. You may not have that option, but if you do, I advise you don't mash sonic at...
Magico vs the world
smodtactical, sure, you! You know how it goes... search the world over, then end up with something different. You get to a dealer, hear something you would not have considered, and before you know it, you have a new favorite... Well, it could happ...

You're going to end up Wilson's,  I just know it.  ;)
Legacy Wavelet as Preamp/DAC/DSP vs just DSP
Simple; try all possible permutations.  Almost assured to achieve not only superior, but vastly superior sound. Read my review of Whisper DSW and of V Speaker systems at Dagogo.com for more input. The gentleman inquiring about DEQX may also appreci...
Klipsch Heresy IV - not what I was expecting
Tremendous fun being exposed to different genres of speakers. With exposure one realizes that no one speaker/genre does it all, and that there is much to love about each technology. Regarding the cupped hand analogy, the reason it persists is beca...
Tidal vs ATC
It was at RMAF in 2013, so it was likely G1. Quite impressive, I must say. They were not in a huge room, so they had to moderate the level. Another thought for you to consider; I reviewed the also prodigious Legacy Audio Valor Speaker System for D...
Tidal vs ATC
Well, well, well, the Sunray, eh? Now we're talking big boy speakers! I have heard them, and they are in a word magnificent! To do it up right you need to part with some serious green to do the amps, cables, etc. Sonic Impact T amp won't cut it wi...
Synergistic Research HFT's
Hmmm... some tough criteria, conditions. Some of these solutions also may not be acceptable, but here goes:Portable/movable sound panels. Take em out when listening, roll them away when not. Use for personal enjoyment of system, and keep tucked aw...
