I think some cables are just a little too expensive.
Legacy Audio's upper models also feature more bass/mid driver surface area. That is one of Bill Dudleston's hallmarks of design. I concur on the benefit of such designs, but it should be understood that by necessity the multiplicity of drivers, wh...
Is it true that a digital cable has to acclimate to your system?
Read my article "Audiophile Law: Thou Shalt Not Overemphasize Burn In" at Dagogo.com I did not specifically compare digital cables but the evidence is not in favor of its changing.  My recommendation is to never consider burn in, or break in regar...
Why high-end cable manufacturers don't post measurements?
I don't know that I have ever seen a cable thread on this site that has actually benefitted audiophiles in making superior audio systems. This is no exception.
Your One Bullet Point Solution; Electrical Upgrade
CONCLUDING THOUGHTS (I think),The intermittent playback has been resolved. Andrew from Small Green Computer, and Adrian from SONORE were not surprised by the diagnostics. It appears that when the power was lost, the Signature Rendu SE was no longe...
Cabling Question -Only One Prong of Spade is Contacting Terminal.
I have used that method previously, and whatever degradation in sound, it was so slight as to be negligible, if audible. Watch out how vigorously you cinch down on the spade, because you could bend/compromise it.
Your One Bullet Point Solution; Electrical Upgrade
The service up grade is done! So far, I'm very happy with the sound - as long as the sound works. From what I can tell, the Internet over power line devices are not locking on the signal as sent from the router through the power lines and then bac...
Your One Bullet Point Solution; Electrical Upgrade
TODAY is panel install day! It took longer than I wanted to coordinate the electrician and city inspector, as well as power co. to handle the cut over. Oh, well. This afternoon is the inspection, and tomorrow is the cut over! This should be fascin...
Are these Speakers the BEST on Planet Earth ?...
Oops, I dropped off the thread participation and see that Fleshler wanted a thought about the different design of the VS vs the Legacy. If I recall correctly, the Focus has two 12" bass drivers per side. Having handled a lot of speakers, including...
How do you all manage mild hearing loss?
I recall as a young man going to the drag strip and seeing the rocket and jet cars. Visually, stunning, audibly hellish. I was too stupid/young to be prepared for the assault on the ears. I ran to the bathroom and jammed as much toilet paper into ...
shifting soundstage>
It is the recordings. A soundstage of an audio system does not shift back and forth; it is a set of components that operates within strict parameters. Unless you move the speakers, change gear or cables, it is fixed. If the movement is so pronounc...
Should a reference speaker be neutral, or just great sounding?
Everyone here can enjoy their swim in the quicksand as they discuss "neutral" and "great".   :)
All NEW Audio Note Alnico Speaker Kits ?....
Some say  a lot of things that are detached from reality. That these speakers, "are among the best speakers money can buy," is one of them.
purchasing US made speakers
Such tough times when there are so few options.
I think some cables are just a little too expensive.
Cable threads are not worth participating in much anymore.
Bi-Amping with one amp?
Let the games begin! Never bi-amped? Ah, the wonders of alternative systems call to you... If you had two stereo amps you would need to decide upon either Horizontal passive bi-amping (one amp dedicated to all bass L/R, and one amp dedicated to al...
