McIntosh 275 to power Paradigm monitor 7's?

Is it crazy to use that amp for my paradigms? I came into a position where I got a good deal on the mcintosh amp and I am wondering if it is still worth it to run my paradigm monitor 7 v.5's. Also, since this amp is brand new to me - your thoughts on that purchase is good to know as well. Your input is greatly appreciated as always.

I figure in time I can always upgrade all my other pieces of the musical puzzle.
